Eugene riders- if you're new, or if you're not, introduce yourself and your ride! What are your favorite routes, other hobbies, etc.

Things look a bit sleepy on here for such a busy place! Let's see if we can ramp things up a bit.

That is an excellent question! Not sure really. Maybe it never rains in Eugene and everybody's busy riding and has no time to sit on here. Sound about right?

ummm ...yeah, right. It never rains in Eugene ..NOT!

It rains 24/7 nine months a year ...and I'm ready for the rains to stop and get to riding ...and kind'a hoping there's others in eugene I can hook up with..

Thursday nights, 7pm - ? are bike nites at Pappa's Pizza on 11th and Chambers. I don't really want to advertise for another forum on this forum (and vice versa), but if you Google Eugene Sport Bikes, you'll find it.

I'm Mike. I live in Creswell and ride a '08 Vee-Strom. For an easy afternoon ride I like to wander around north Douglas Co. I'm working on the Rose City Grand Tour so when time and weather permits I'll be riding to the farther check points.

I Ride: 2003 Sportster, 2009 Heritage
The Thursday night group at PaPa's (or whatever it is now) is mostly sport bikes.
Also on Thursday evening a group of Cruiser's (mostly) meets at the Coburg road Starbucks (Oakway Mall). These are mostly Clean and Sober MC folks.
On Friday night we meet at the Delta Highway Starbucks.
This weekend there are several groups headed to the Rhody on Saturday from various locations. there is also a poker run leaving from Chad's Westrider's shop by the west 11th Wal-mart.
If you are out in JC, I am in Santa Clara and healed up enough that I've got a couple hundred miles in the last couple weeks. Getting back to normal, yee-haw!
Also, if you check the "Bike Sunday" entry, you will see that we are hosting a bike Sunday on the 31st. We are located just around the corner from the Thursday night Sport group rally point at the Pizza joint.

My BIL introduced me to this site, so I am introducing myself. My name is Michelle and my ride is a 2009 Honda Shadow 750. I have been riding since June, 09, so I am very new. My husband grew up riding all manner of MC's, but had not ridden for about 20 years! So we both ride now, and are loving it! We are looking forward to meeting the locals, hopefully at Papa's on Thursdays! Anyone have advice for riding post-rain???? I know that will be a constant theme for us, living in Eugene!!

loolks like you and I should hook up for some rides being in the same neighborhood. I have a lot to learn.
