Hello from GA!!!

As some on here know, my daughter lives at Ft Stewart in GA. Wife decided she wanted to come out here to visit her before her husband gets out of the Army and they head back closer to home. The wife has always wanted to go to FL on vacation, but flights for 2 people, car rental etc are a little more expensive than we can normally afford, so I decided to ride the GSX-R out here a week before the wife flies out (gas and food was cheaper than a round trip plane ticket and gives us transportation)....

As some on here know, my daughter lives at Ft Stewart in GA. Wife decided she wanted to come out here to visit her before her husband gets out of the Army and they head back closer to home. The wife has always wanted to go to FL on vacation, but flights for 2 people, car rental etc are a little more expensive than we can normally afford, so I decided to ride the GSX-R out here a week before the wife flies out (gas and food was cheaper than a round trip plane ticket and gives us transportation).

I left home last Thu morning, and got here this morning at right around 3am. I would have been here 2 days sooner, but I got caught by bad weather when I was at my cousins house in The Colony, TX , so waited 2 days for the weather between there and my daughters house to clear up yesterday. The ride has been pretty uneventful for the most part so far, just a lot of miles. I had friends from the Katana Riders website to stop and visit along the way, which saved me by not havng to rent a single hotel room on the way here or on my way home. Yesterdays run covered 1070 miles according to googlemaps.

Here's the route I took to get here http://tinyurl.com/yfa3ugd . Once the wife gets back on the plane to head back home, I'm going to make a short detour and ride up to Deals Gap in NC so I can meet a few more people from the Katana Riders site, and ride the Dragon. I have a hotel room reserved in the area for a night (paid for by yet another Katrider kindly letting me use some of his saved up travel bonus point), and will probably only ride half the day or so then start making my way back towards home. If the weather looks like it will be too bad from Reno to home, I'll just head through So Cal instead, and have the wife pick me up in Redding with my truck if needed.
