I'm not giving this thing to just anyone, but if your family is down on luck right now and can't afford much, or know of a family that could use this, drop me a PM letting me know so I can get this to your family or give to you so you can give to another family who could use this.

It's a 19-20lb turkey, so it's enough to feed at least 4 folks.

So here is the dealio. I just got this sweet '98 Accord EX Coupe. Yeah baby! It is actually a nicely kept, 2-owner car that drives/operates pretty much like new. V-Tec 4-banger with 5-speed. I'm officially a ricer! Never wacked, wrecked or otherwise abused. However, a good portion of its life was spent in Texas heat or Colorado grit/grime. A lot of the original black paint is horrifically bad at this point as a result. It needs a total repaint.

A lot of the original black paint is horrifically bad at this point as a result. It needs a total repaint.

Anyway, does anyone here paint cars? I'm looking for that side/cash deal away from the big bodyshop experience. Don't want Maaco either. I know plenty of peeps with whiz-bang shops that could make it look like new for like $2k but this car does not need that. It will be either my or someone else's daily driver/mountain runner so we are not looking for Pebble Beach quality. I would deliver the car to the painter stripped of just about everything that can unbolt. I'd also have a paintless ding remover guy go around the car first so there would be almost no or at least very little bodywork to do.

Maybe someone here works at a shop that does sidework? I seem to remember someone posting here that works at Metro Auto Rebuild on Cap Hill. Post up any thoughts/ideas if you have some...

Okay so right now I have two bikes that have accepted the same offer. I love both of the bikes on what I read, and I know that the final step is to see which one I feel more comfortable with. But with your personal experience, which bike would you recommend?

Bike #1: 2002 Honda CBR 600 F4i
* 23,000 miles
* Two Bros. Exhaust
* Laid down once but fixed

Bike # 2: 1999 Yamaha r6
* 18,000 miles

Looks like it may be a fun little shindig with reps to discuss new products, some discounts on Yamaha's and Parts, and Food, Beer and Wine.

If I'm not in Oregon, I'll probably hop on over and check it out. Anyone else interested?
