Thanksgiving Potluck?

For those of you who have no family around, or no place to go, or what have you...I was thinking we could all get together and have a Thanksgiving Potluck maybe? Since it's expensive to have a Thanksgiving dinner for just 1, or even 2 for that matter, I figure this would be a nice alternative. The family I do have down here is all going to Boise, and I work Thanksgiving day till 2pm...but- I love holidays and I love just getting together with friends...and I know Robert and I can't possibly be the only people in the area without family around.....

So- if you would like to join in, please let me know....It could be at our place in Oregon City, but it's not SUPER big so if the list gets PACKED- we may need to look at an alternative.

I guess if you are interested- Post up with the Number of People, and what you'll bring.

Since it is going to be raining I am looking to ride out Saturday Morning.
How to get there will be determined at the point of departure.

Where to meet? Likely at Sylvan Chevron
When to meet? Mmmmm 10AM
When to kickup? 10:15AM
Exact Route? TBD

Above points are negotiable for a better fit.

I'd suggest wet weather gear, gloves, boots, and a plugin warmer vest.
Bring Money/ your un-maxed credit card cause we will likely have a small bite to eat in Seaside.

If you can't go that is OK we may catch you on a nice cool sunny winter days.

Bear with me... I've had a few beers. :mfclap:

Over a year ago we humbly requested that Vancouver, WA be granted its own subsection on the forum (see Maybe a Vancouver, WA forum?). Mr. Beans obliged (finally, and with some hesitation) and the Vancouver forum was born as a small branch of the Westside conglomerate.

Despite controversy, we moved forward with our own Vancouver section. We started Vancouver bike night!!, which grew into a life of it's own, and now have expanded our community to include such gatherings as Rockin' Wings Bike Night and ~Coffee Time~Vancouver.

Providing a section for Vancouver on the PNWRiders forums virtually enabled a vibrant motorcycling community to come together and share rides, laughs, get-togethers, and experiences. We have grown into a family of great friends, new and old, who faithfully meet regularly to share good times. We do rides constantly, meet weekly, and keep the spirit of motorcycling alive in our own way, on our own time, in our own city.

I'd like to remind all of my Portland friends that you guys are all always welcome to join our group any time. But this Saturday marks a special one year anniversary for our Vancouver bike night!! crew, and so I feel a special invitation is called for! For one thing, we're having a baby shower at bike night! How weird is that? And following VBN, we're going cosmic bowling at Crosley Lanes in Vancouver!

Lately, I've been in Portland as much as I've been in Vancouver. So I'm torn between two cities. Yeah, I haven't made many Portland rides this year, and I think I've been to TNC twice... I'll try harder. But I love my Vancouver Family, and I really hope we can bridge a small gap that's been driven between us (mainly the Columbia River) and share some good times together...

Okay, end beer rant! I love ya PDX! Vancouver: 3, PDX: ?

Wheelie Teach: Howabout a Group Purchase?

Saw this advertised in the new Motorcyclist. A little pricey, but a group purchase would make it affordable and we could take turns perfecting our wheelie skills. We could even get a few together at a parking lot, as in this video, and practice together.

BEDS ALL TAKEN (but if you have an air-mattress and a sleeping bag, we could accomodate you)

Anyone want to go up and spend the weekend of the 28th/29th on Mt. Hood and in the snow? My cabin sleeps 10. I'm probably not going to do any skiing, just do some stocking of firewood, clearing some trails that run to the creek, and some playing around in the snow in the Rover...

Of course, you are welcome to hit the slopes, yourselves, then just come back to the cabin and sit by the fire and relax, sleep, then wake up Sunday and do it again...!

Anyone is welcome.

4th Annual Paradise Harley chili cookoff.

Ok, This Saturday is the 4th annual chili cookoff, and I am the defending champion, so I have been cooking my special chili for the past two days.

Just hoping forecasts are true.. If Saturday is dry I want to do a early run thru Vernonia. Dont have a huge window of time to play with.. Would like to leave Starbucks Hwy 26 /185th at 9 am. I want to slab it there , and just get it on. I have to work early and I cannot be late. ... Is anyone in ??
