Suzuki GS1100 parts/accessories **CHEAP**
Information:

I recently picked up an early 80's Suzuki GS1100 for a few of the parts and got much more than I bargained for and I would like to get rid of what I do not want/need.

Parts available:

- tank
- front fender
- rear fender with brake light
- seat in good shape
- wheels
- frame
- sprocket
- dash cluster
- handlebars
- coils/random parts/etc
- much much more

The bike is in overall fairly rough shape, so I am not going to even bother putting prices on this stuff. If you are interested in the parts, let me know and we can work out something price-wise. Also, some of the larger items such as the frame and wheels will have to wait until the engine comes out.

I can take pictures if need be, but if you need these parts, you probably know what they look like.

If this stuff is not purchased by the time the motor comes out, it will all go to Bent Bike or be donated to a charitable cause.

Any questions feel free to post here or send me a PM.

Chain drive. I believe it is an '82 or '83. Not sure of the model. How can I tell?

I might be interested in the ignition pickups and rotor.
Maybe the slotted front and rear rotors too.

I need to check some part numbers before I can be sure.

I will double check on the side covers but I am pretty sure I have them. I will also double check the mileage on the cluster.

Thanks for the heads up on the year/letter clarification. What letters correspond to '80, '81 and '83?

Thanks for the heads up. With those indentifiers, it must be either an '81 or '82 because the motor is not black. Once I get home I will check out those parts you asked about and try to get some pictures up.

Not much of a project. Just stealing the motor/cases/head to keep as a back up for my drag bike. The rest of the bike is going away haha!

Edit..
What's throwing me is the round reflectors on the tail.. Thats GS1000.. The 1100's had square or none right?
Don't the passenger pegs on a GS1100 mount to a big aluminum bracket?
Got a pic of the tank??

Tank seat and tail should be perfect for my GS1000..

Sent you a PM

I'm going to guess that this is a 1980 GS1100L that someone put a GS1000 seat and rear fender on.. I'm really curious to see the tank.. side and top profile would be great

Later GS1100's didn't have passenger peg loops on the frame and had a larger round mount in the frame for the swingarm.

Wow, you are a wealth of information my friend! I hope I didn't get duped, it appeared to be an 1100 when I purchased it.

I will head down and take some pictures of the tank for you. Also, you have a PM.

THE GS1100e had an aluminum swingarm.

If that back wheel is 16" it is an "L" model same motor as the E

I remember the "Joan Claybrook" 85mph speedo, my GS1100e had no problem pegging it in second gear, hot stuff for the day.

A trip down memory lane.

The displacement is stamped on the side of the cylinder block

The reason it's probably an L model is no aluminum swing arm

L's also have 16" rear wheel and a leading front axle

Have no fear, the motors are the same

What the hell is that tank from? GS1100E shape but with a flip top,non-vac petcock, the line for the knee inset is too vertical and it single bolt rear tab??

Ohh! It's a Honda CX500 tank

So did you ever figure out what the bike is? And are you selling that exhaust? I may be interested if it will fit on my 80 gs750.

BTW, if anybody needs to know if something will fit, I have the Zedder database. It cross references all OEM part numbers from all the bikes. So basically, i can tell you if a bolt, fender, wheel, etc was used on. but i need the OEM part number to look it up. It's pretty cool, and only cost 25 bucks Oh yeah, i only have SUZUKI!

I'd like to chat about the exhaust also if Pete is not interested, depending on the condition. I have a 1k Kat that should bolt up to nicely. Also may be interested in some of the misc electrical stuff.

Do you still have the frame? Or anything else?
Please leave me a message. I will have sporadic web access for a while. I will be back in Seattle circa the 25th.
