The real issue is what you gained on the same dyno. Most people use dyno numbers as bragging rights. |

How about just beating 3 of those 4 items? The IS-F is close on paper, though I easily beat one on I-5. There is a few from Europe, including the V8 BMW M3 that I included for reference. It's funny because your concept of "fast" involves a straight line, a couple timing lights, and ZERO turns. Let's look at Nürburgring times and THEN we'll determine what is faster.

But D Rail is wrong, corner speed is not where bikes beat cars, it's on acceleration and a straighter line though turns because they are so much narrower. The GTO would beat most bikes on a skid pad because of greater contact patch, if someone where wacky enough to try it on a bike, but on a road course (with long straights) or strip, most powerful sport bikes would win. |

The fact that a 90k car is even within 10 seconds of those Supercars is insane (ps - those cars don't weigh 2 tons!)... I think its got some go in it. Funny, I don't see the GTO in there anywhere. :confused Last edited by D_Rail; 07-02-2009 at 10:50 AM..

Why the hostility? Is this a handling thread and I missed it?? When it comes to cars, how great they handle is a friggin joke: without going to a track, only the most hardcore guys are ever going to tackle corners on the street. Leave the "Best handling car" junk for the Europeans. In America, in the real world, races are almost always straight lines. Period. Bite me: Express Lanes FTW! I've raced dozens of cars so far, from a stop, slow roll, and on the freeway, only losing to a modded Supra. Killed BAD 2 WRX's, and a STi (2009 model), and even barely took out a heavily modded WRX STi clone Forester. "Biggest turbo I could put on it" he told me, along with a massive intercooler hanging below his bumper. Went at it 4 times, including from a 15mph roll (he even got on it first, but spun his TIRES and I pulled him). Besides my brothers IROC and the aforementioned Supra, that Forester was the closest race I've had. ![]()
