1200 Miles On The R6
I finally got my bike back together in time for the 4th. Did a ride from Coeur d'Alene over the Cascade Highway (which is AWESOME! BTW) to the WA coast and back. Turned out to be exactly 1200 miles. Annnndddd.... NO CRASHING or TICKETS!

My dad took his BMW R1100GS with nearly 100,000 miles. I call it the caravan he can pack so much crap on it. Needless to say, he carried most everything and still railed it in the corners!

We are cheap bastards so we don't pay for lodging. We find an out of the way spot and throw down a tarp and some sleeping bags.

My three favorite parts of the trip were:

1. Mount Ranier. The ride in was awesome, the road was awesome, and the view was AMAZING!

2. North Cascade Highway is dah bomb diggity. Especially with 0 cops and no traffic.

3. Highway 101 had some great twisties as well.

Pics to follow.

Port Townsend ferry.

Ross Dam park? I think?

I'll add more when I get the other camera tomorrow.

Somehow I don't see a 1200 mile day with a stop to throw down sleeping bags, but hey......different strokes...
