F800S dyno Remus vs. Leovince
got my bike on a dyno to test out a few slip ons and for fun of course.

EDIT: This was FREE

The exhausts being tested are
Stock
Leovince CF
Remus Revolution

And the winner is......REMUS!!!

actually the leovince kinda sucks when it comes down to the charts, hardly better than stock.

As you can see by the charts below, there is a severe drop at 4000RPM stock and with the LV, the remus gets rid of it.

Overall peak power is unchanged except that the leovince actually DECREASES peak power.

So, if you're considering spending the extra money for a remus over leovince, I hope this will convince you. It convinced me. You get what you pay for.

Sucks though, the LV is really good looking!

had to remove the airbox to get to the wire for the RPM sensor, then put it back. YES the "tank" is really an airbox and the real tank is under the seat.

AirFuel sensor was up and running, yes that high is fine for my bike

That's a lot of info. The Remus looks really good here. Accross the board you are getting a lot more power out. How does it sound?

Remus for the win.

Mo spensive, but to actually get power results from a slip on, is a feat in itself.

oh also should mention the BMW system has it's own O2 sensor, that's why it can adjust to the different slip-ons. No PCIII here, though i might eventually. It's good for 10HP

Why not have him tune the thing instead of messing around with exhaust that might get you a whopping 1 hp? Your hp/tq curves look like a 4 year olds drawing!

Because the bike doesn't have a powercommander?

Eventually it'll get a PCIII or PCV but not until warranty is up.

and ps it's not a whopping 1hp, look at 4KRPM, there's almost 5ft/lbs and 4HP difference between stock and the remus. It's not all about peak

If I had the moolah, remus would get the nod for the Buell. Such a killer sounding slip on for my bike, not sure of any gains to be had by it though.

Only a BMW rider would go out of his way to test slip ons...

Get a power commander, get a full exhaust, tune , win.

Nice thorough thread but I didn't realize until after reading all the comments that you didn't tune with a PC or similar. It's really surprising there were any gains so credit to Remus for that or possibly the BMW ECU.

Okay, the dyno time was free, why not test?

The exhausts were free for now. If I choose to keep one I get dealer's cost, almost 100bucks off the remus if I do want to keep it.

I'll do a PCIII eventually. A full tune will bring the A/F down to 13:1 and add about 10 wheel horse power.

I don't think a full system would help the power at all. The cat was in the original pipe so a slip on eliminates it. No bends in the current pipes to get rid of, it's more of a weight thing to change out the headers.

Thoughts on Dyno of F800 and various cans
Couple thoughts:
Why: because he could.
Free: Sure helps.
Results: marginal gains except for the 4K drop out issue for the stock unit. WHY??? Anyone have a reason for this? My solution: plow through the 4K REALLY fast!
Curves definitely show what can be done and confirm the A/F Ratio issue quoted for the stock set up. Gives lots of play for later on.

Other: This is a pretty cool dyno set up located in Cheney and will be available NOT FREE for custom tuning and the like. Cost will be really reasonable as the owner is a great guy and does not want to abuse anyone's sensibilities to help bikes that are looking for performance gains or testing.
Will post if/when/how to contact facility when he is ready.
