Wow, pretty compelling video.

85MPH and he was able to get right up.

The comments were pretty entertaining, everyone is an expert.

No way I am going to speculate on what happened.

I do think it is shitty that he was cited after all that.

That is the OSP looking out for your safety and never missing a chance to extract a toll from you!

That reminds me of my older brother. He has had his Motorcycle for two years. Never taken an MSF course and does not even have his license - motorcycle or otherwise. He has crashed that bike 6 times in the past two years!!!! Everytimes he just gets up, runs over, and hops back on his bike. LOL!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!

I broke my leg in a wreck and got up and jumped around to see if I was hurt, didn't feel a thing. After the adrenaline turned off I was hurting though.

still seems most likely explanation is he was speeding, saw cop, grabbed front brake too hard, went flying over bars or rear brake and started skidding and freaked out. I mean there wasn't even any cars going by when his bike went flying down the road. Even if there was debris or something, with open road he should have been able to avoid it. And the cop sitting in front of him makes failed panic braking seem really likely. Other then that, could have been mechanical failure of some kind, but with the cop right there it seems like it would have been a pretty big coincidence.

I guess maybe in Eastern Washington.

Here if they are going 75 they are going really fast (for people here anyways).

I mean, I will admit I think there are speeds I consider reckless. 85 on a highway isn't really one of them (well maybe here on one of the slower/heavier traffic days but when traffic is actually moving it's not that bad. It's particularly not htat bad when the highway isn't even all that populated like the video seems to show).

In Washington, even if you slide off the road during an ice storm you get a damn ticket for leaving the roadway..........This place is jacked up like a football bat.....

85 on 84 is just rolling along, whether on a bike or in a car or SUV with boat. I really doubt the cop was alerted to a vehicle at a high rate of speed, unless he was talking about the constant flow of traffic.

you can hear bikes well amongst cars. If he was reving it up/ quickly engine braked he'd hear it unless he was blasting tunes.

!

What, you're surprised by this?

He didn't hit anything, generally when you crash it's not that you've crashed that kills or breaks you, it's what you hit as you go flying/sliding down the road.

(If you're wearing gear)

So his story is wrong. He was going the speed limit, the truck passed him, and he thought the LEO was going to pull out in front of him pushing him into the truck so he grabbed too much front brake. The bike sounded like it was going fast because he rolled-on the throttle when he pulled the clutch and brake at the same time.

THE LEO CAUSED THE ACCIDENT.

I bet he wasnt paying attention, and was suprised by the cop like alot of us are when they appear out of nowhere. He wasnt speeding but grabbed brake to avoid ticket and lost it. I fully blame the cop. not only did his presence cuase the accident, but he lied about the "estimated" speed. didn't look like 85 at all. cops suck ass.
