I have watched the growth of assholiness in cruisers (I still call them Hardleys) for 40 years. Listened to people whine and complain about the raunchyness and poor behavior associated with hardleys. Waiting for people to grow a set and address it through local clubs. It never happened and I have never changed. You see it as anger, it is not about my anger, but about motorcycles in general, to me at least. I know the cruiser bunch gets flustered and begins protecting something which requires none, instead requires a good long look at how it is effecting the whole. The problem I believe I see here is an ownership of any statements made. As if they were the ones in the cause. Why is that? Sportbikers don't do this, Dual sporters don't do this. But Hardleys do. Brotherhood? A family feel?

Because like how you can find any item with the Hello Kitty brand on it in Japan (just check out a webpage called Hello Kitty Hell if you don't believe me), you can find anything sold with the Harley name on it. I wonder if Harley makes more money selling bikes, or selling their brand name to put on random crap |

There are azzholes a plenty in the sport crowd and in the yuppie BMW or Goldwing touring crowds as well,I think no mater what crowd however they are the minority. If you haven't noticed ( I imagine you have but) I'm just 25 miles from you,I'll post up next time a few of us get out for a ride and you're welcome to come along,I think you would find the guys I hang with are all regular good folks that don't care what you ride. In my experience they are all mainstream guys like you will find most anywhere, you won't find any of us hanging around outside Columbia Cycle in a doo rag and new leathers eating free hot dogs or sitting on a barstool out in Farger Lake talking smack because we are riders and will be out on the road and in the wind. As for Brother Speed, they are 1%....we are 99%,nuf said. Last edited by Y2K; 07-19-2009 at 11:23 PM..

By in large some of the most pretentious, pompus self righteous people that have never ridden dirt that I have ever met. Now those that are actually riding their 15k bike off road, seem to be quite sociable, but the polish and brand panty twitters... I wouldnt hoist a brew with em. They are on parr and line with the Starbucks Sunday morning crew of HD or Sportabikapolooza. Roll into their shop with a dirty NON Bavarian Brand adventure bike, and feel the love. DAMHIK If you would rather spend your time cleaning your bike/preening your gear, than riding your bike, then we probably dont understand each other on fundamental basics. | MotoGP Champion | ![]() Your insecurity is showing. Maybe you should man up and consider another look at this, not that it is worthy of a fix, but it is worth a close look. I caught you in one exaggeration and can tell you the 8 people I was with all felt the 3 specific bikers who rode with both feet on the pegs at far to high a speed without clearing a path right down the gift line were jerks. You call it toe speed, I call it shit for speed in a crowd. They rode through the crowd to the entrance gate, then opened it. They could have and should have just opened the gate and rode the 20 feet from the street to they're parking spots. Rode through the lines of people placing stuffed animals in the bus, and behind the bus it was less crowded. They did it on purpose and did it for show. Fucktards used it to prove they were fucktards, period. They did that. I also call bullshit on the fact you saw all of them, as 3 jerks came through and then 5 or 6 more came about 3 or 4 minutes later, they rode through much slower. Those are the guys you hold up as the picture of perfection. But they too could have avoided the crowd. I wonder if there is a video out there, I saw one of the area, but not of the incident, which I have discussed with others who were disappointed too. |

Never wondered if it was the seats or what. Before the attacks of you're wrong and you're wrong, set in. I said (not a quote) the posers and haters are the trouble. But ownership of every accusation is the issue for this subject. I am not a Harley hater, I am an asshat hater. I agree with you 100% I have never said posers and asshats don't exist elsewhere, and on all brands.

| Pit Crew Joined: Jul 2009 From: Beaverton I Ride: Harley FLHT | Wow, did this thread ever go to hell in a handbasket. If I may add my two cents worth here..... As to the toy run, not only was I there, I was the official last bike in the run. I have been to quite a few large runs, and quite frankly, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, I thought it went off quite smoothly. As to Brother speed, I know a few of them personally, I am not a member, nor a hang around, the 1% life holds no interest for me, but I will ride with then If asked to. The ones I have met and know are really nice people. The same can be said for Free Souls. I think the problem here was just one of you misunderstanding that way events like this are run, I am sorry if you think there was something done to make you feel unsafe, but really in an event like this are more the norm. If you come to ride next year, I would like to extend an Invitation to you and your wife to ride with my HOG club, so you will feel safer at this event. |

Cruisers, harleys what ever, I ride a cruiser. So I was including the name so all the butt hurt were less hurt. Sensitive bunch you know. I am shocked as I have been for decades harley riders don't see it or won't acknowledge it. Just deny deny deny that it is. Frankly I will remain as I have always been, so the fuck what, it is creating a divisive community, not completely, yet enough it is an often spoken belief. But they would rather quietly hide than stand up and tell it, tell you, like it is. It is both of you to who expect the leader of our nation to be honorable, but all other leaders don't have to be bothered, hypocrites actually.

I was with Harley riders who are HOG members, they won't be coming back at the last time we talked ( 5 weeks ago). They are the people I was with and I have listened to them rant. Believe me this isn't (to anyone I was with) as some seem to believe, a small thing. So I guess I have to ask. Please don't take offense in the frankness of the question. Is it standard procedure to ride through the crowd and right down the toy line, without notice, or warning? Then park right in front and cuss as if no one can hear them? Setting a organizers example of exactly what makes us (my close friends) all cringe.
