Personally I am glad they kept the Multistrada family name. The answers will all be revealed at the EICMA trade show in 10 days. ![]() |

Nobody ever did make one for the old Multi. People would join a Monster fender to the Multi one making for a nice finished product. Don't they know some people ride/tour off pavement? Maybe there just aren't that many roads left unpaved in Europe? Someday I think I want a Multi. Mark H. |

High tech meets fugli... in 2010 no motorcycle manufacturer is immune to the contagion. ![]() ... the curious humans marveled over the platypus' uniquely characteristic appearance. Once opinions were in concordance, however, no one could bring themselves to embrace this rather ugly mammal. Henceforth, it was shunned to live a feral existence in the outback's wilderness... ![]() |

Ducati had a big push the past 90 days and most have cleared Mutli's ... I would be happy to go on the hunt for you but it is getting to be slim pickings. |

| Pit Crew Joined: Mar 2008 From: Wenatchee, WA I Ride: because walking feels so awkward. | If I could only have one bike it would probably be a Multistrada. Fortunately I do have a Multistrada. It's a great all-round bike but it's not perfect. There aren't any perfect bikes. That's why we need more than one. The first photos I saw of the original Multi were not impressive but when I saw it in the flesh I knew I had to have one. I'll wait to see the new one in person before I pass judgment but it looks like the beak is for real. I'll be surprised if I end up liking that feature. The other thing that I am not thrilled with is the four-valve motor. I can only afford a Ducati if I can do the valve adjustments myself. I don't think I'm touching a four-valve. I think I could live with only two road bikes. An FJR and a Hypermotard seems like a good combination. The Multi has a little bit of both compressed into one versatile package. If you could live with only one bike - but I don't think I can. |

Stuff like the triumph tiger? Really doesn't look that off road worthy case in point, the front fender. It is too close to the wheel, gravel gets up in there will gouge the fuck outta the bottom of it. Also doesn't go back far enough to give protection to the motor, the way it is gravel gets sucked up and spit directly into the bike! this isn't made for offroading one bit, it's a sportishtourer of some sort. Especially with those tires Last edited by Avboden; 11-09-2009 at 09:37 AM.. |
