So, avboden has a thread for what is going to be his dad's new beemer, so I thought I'd make a thread about my awesome 999. Yeah it's pretty sweet, it's numbers aren't as spectacular as all the liter bikes out there now, but for the street and the riding I do it is above and beyond anything I could do at my skill level. Yeah, it already won some WSBK Championships, so that's pretty rad right? Some people don't like the layout of the headlights, but I think they're pretty sweet, and nobody tell's me I have a light out any more. Yeah, that's all I have for now. Discuss. |

It's used on race bikes/cars/clothing in countries where advertising tobacco products is prohibited. Mark H. |

I was bound and determined to start smoking, but after they stopped advertising it on race vehicles I magically lost interest. Nowadays I'm totally into erectile enhancers and energy drinks. ![]() |

The styling was just so over the top compared to that other bike it replaced. It was/is a better bike to ride though in almost every way compared to a 916-996-998. After a year or 2 they started to look better to me. And now I find them to be very attractive. They truly are some of the last handbuilt bikes from Ducati with performance that is still comparable to newer machines. The 848/1098/1198 series, as awesome as it is, lost some part of that Italian "edge" that was so prevalent in all the earlier Superbike series. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
