I Ride: as slow as I can without falling over.
With my old sprocket..easily. With my new one I have to chop the throttle. I went down 10 teeth in the back. I couldn't start off the line at the strip without bringin the front up.

Im a huge bitch, no way that tire is coming up without dumping the clutch unless I can figure out a way to flick the throttle faster.

I'm a callin you out son... no way no how is an R1 (unless heavily modified and or geared WAY down) is going to power wheelie in 4th gear. But let's make sure we all agree on what a "power wheelie" really is, as some people seemed to be confused by the term.

Power wheelie: is when the rider is sitting in a normal riding position, cruising at a steady speed, and simply winds the throttle wide open. No clutch. No body english. No chop/whack on the throttle, and no bouncing. Pure power only.

So if you're R1 can truly power wheelie in 4th, I wanna see it cuz I don't believe it.

DRZ-SM = yes in 1st, takes a lil tug in 2nd. Clutching is so much easier/smoother though. Though it is pretty fun to power it up in 1st, then shift all the way 4th.

Werd. Like I said above, I think a few people don't know what a real "power wheelie" is.

Yeah well, you can't weigh more than the bike yourself! You gotta be a lightweight like me first!

Honestly I've never even bothered to try a clutch-up, that actually scares me. Powering it up seems smoother....I use to do this quite often, but I don't anymore because I'm afraid of repairs and pain. I still get the front wheel up once in a while (like maybe an inch off the ground) when I'm having fun on freeway on-ramps, but it's not on purpose.

I use to clutch up the ninja 250 to everyone's surprise though. That was fun!

'03 aprilia Tuono - yep.

First time I rode it I came out of a corner I had been riding for years on other bikes and just kept rolling on throttle in third gear. Took me a moment to realize that the reason I was having trouble holding my line was because my front wheel was about 8" off the deck. It is no fun to ride with a passenger because it is almost impossible to keep the front end on the ground. It is not huge on horsepower, but it does have a lot of grunt and the upright ergos give it a very light front end. Not much fun above 120 mph, but below that, it's a hoot.

The VTR is scary in first and will come right up in second. Third will creep up on a small cresting hill otherwise third needs to be convinced up, but will easily stay there once it's up.

Especially since I have a one down and 3 up gear combo.

Oh. The DRZ does exactly what Pete says. Although I need to work on the shifting thing.
