Also, it pulled itself up in first gear on a decent throttle roll up around 9k without me trying to do it. The bike has more power than I'm trying to use yet. Continued practice though... |

| Pit Crew Joined: Nov 2006 From: Oak Harbor, Wa I Ride: 2006 CBR 1000rr | Yes, up to third gear. 06 1000rr, I've never done it in first or second really, I knew from the get go the bike had more than enough power to do that so I try and be careful in the first two gears, but I decided to open it up in third one day on a long stretch thinking I was safe and had hit the gear pretty early before the power band (keeps me from accelerating away too fast from my buddy on his 600), so it was wide open throttle waiting for the speed to catch up to the gear before it started to pull too hard, but when it hit the power band the thing came up pretty smooth. I set it back down though, cause I'm not experienced enough to be riding a wheelie over 100mph, not to mention my turn was coming up. I doubt it would do it in 4th seeing as I've ridden it hard through the powerband and didn't feel it lift. If it wasn't so damn fast in 3rd gear I think i'd like to practice wheeling there because it doesn't come enough to worry about it flipping. Like I said, I'm not that experienced at wheelies. |

| Superbiker | Seriously though, wack the throttle wide open coming out of a turn, or a light for that matter the wheel will come up... 03 SV650 Yes 1 & 2 03 SV1000S Yes 1 & 2 I can't "Bounce" up a wheelie, I can't clutch one up either and when it powers up I can't "hold it" Blah blah I'm a pussy.. Not really I just never learned how to keep it up and had no interest in practicing on the street. I can bring it up when I want to, but it generally just gets slammed right back onto the ground. |

| Endorsed | About ten years ago I haf a YZ490 2 stroke and I weigh in at about 260 I would plant my belly on the handlebars and still have a really hard time keeping the front down in first or second then I would hit the powerband doing about 65 in third and it would jump right up unless I was leaning way forward to prevent it that bike was scary fast and strong I think thats why they called them widowmakers and quit making then in 85 or so |

I plan to go down a tooth in front (two from stock) and will expect wheelies any time I want through 3rd. |
