You dont even have to do that on most of them... Just sit back on the seat, and roll on.. If you put your feet on the rear pegs that helps some as well..

Srsly? Who the hell does sitdowns with their feet on the rear pegs? And exactly how is that gonna help you get it up? Not to mention you can't reach the rear brake anymore.... not good.

sometimes... maybe. if I really try. I know the race versions did it. But those are 750cc's and are tuned and a bunch lighter. I can feel the front wanting to pull up in second, but not so much in first (odd).

Agreed.. HOWEVER the question was... Does your bike power wheelie... Well all I am saying is yes they will... I DID NOT say that doing a sit down with your feet on the rear pegs is the RIGHT way to do it, just that they will.. I have seen people do it that way, and I dont ride with them anymore.. Lol. You of all people know how to do a proper wheelie.

Weird... I honestly can't recall ever seeing anyone do a sitdown with their feet on the rear pegs. Standups sure... that's the only reason I even have passenger pegs on my DRZ, and why I have grip tape on them as well.

i dont know because im too scared to try. As a general rule, for safety's sake I try to keep the rpm on my zx10r below 3500rpm in all gears.

I spose I should update since I've got a new scoot since this was posted.

KLR650: uh, no.

It will clutch up if you: stand and bounce on it like a gorilla, pull in the clutch, pin the throttle, wait patiently for the revs to climb near redline, dump the clutch, "jump" back and yank for all your worth and pretend like you're trying to do a backflip off the bike (but don't let go!)

awesome vid wa.squid

I would say 80% of you misunderstand what a power wheelie really is. My zx14 will power wheelie in first, but more often then not, my bike will not POWER up in 2nd. Liter bikes are a little easier to wheelie believe it or not because they make close to the same power, they are lighter, and most importantly, they are shorter.

+2 for awesome thread revival.

aww, I bet your Gsx600 will wheelie.

02 CBR 600 F4i: Still getting the hang of it, but if I scoot my butt as far back as it'll go, get the rpms at about 6000 in 1st and gun it it'll bring the front up, i'm still chicken though so I've only gotten it up about a foot. 2nd? doubtful.

Nighthawk 650: HAAAAhahaha... right. when I was younger I used to try everything I could to get it to wheelie... clutch ups, jumping on it like a trampoline, gunning it front a stop... best it did was squeal the back tire.

Your CBR will come up in second.. I Promise A good bounce on the front end and whack the throttle (WIthin a degree of sanity, you have to use common sense) It will come up

No power wheelie but little dip or a chop will bring it up.
1st gear 20-40mph will do it with a chop.

GIXXERPETE IS WRONG!!!!

I have an '07 klr650 with one tooth up in the front that will wheelie anytime i want it to in first.... kinda and when i go down two teeth in the front, it'll even come up in second.

i have pics and video to prove it.
