So, i was on my lunch break, i decided to head over to eastside moto sports so i could drool over the desmosedici (which was in pieces btw) because i missed out on the revealing of it last friday.

So i ride over there (rode to work today, w00t), and in the parking lot is a brand new white 848 with a big decal on the side that says "Eastside Motosports DEMO".

.. walked inside, said hey to the receptionist, asked her what i had to do take it out for a spin as a joke because i figured they only let serious buyers take one out for a spin .. and she just said, "gimme your license, i'll go make a copy and ryan the salesguy will get you the keys."

no. shit.

xratedrr .. i know how you feel now. I will do ANYTHING (as long as it's not illegal to an extent, and i am guarenteed that i will come out alive and walking after the event) for an 848.

i'll never own the bike anyway .. but it sure is awesome to dream.

I went yesterday to check it out and demo'ed a DRZ-400SM. I'm in the same boat as you now, but with that bike instead

You see what im talking about now? Ducati makes sense 100%, doesnt it? And its not a stupid idea at all when you think about it... If they offer a demo ride, and you get as hooked as I have, you will be back, eventually, with money. I would have never ever even considered putting the money towards a ducati. Until I rode one.

And btw, there is a dealer that is awesome enough not to put stickers all over the bike that say "demo", that way, it looks like yours when you ride it. They are in seattle. And they sell ducatis

i only liked the 848 because it wasn't crazy power like the 1098 models, and it was sexy with the single sided swingarm and the lines of the body.

but, now i realize why that bike is worth so much money. The power delivery, the braking power, and the fact that you can flick that bike around with the showa shocks right off the show room floor .. it's amazing.

Were you there around closing time? Someone took the 400sm out for a test ride as I was getting ready to leave, then Tokin showed up, and we were there BS'ing.

And I fricken love Eastside. Always a great place to go. Never a dull moment there when I'm there ordering parts, or picking something up.

Always love to bs with Patrick, and getting harassed by Morgan for not stopping by and saying hi to her first when I come in.

Also, it's less then a mile from home, and only a couple miles from work, so easy to stop on by.
