Nope! It's both motorcycle and forum related.

Not to mention the 2008 thread that Beans posted up is a sticky in the General Discussion section. This thread is simply following suit.

Now where are the new 2009 forum members?

My name is Jason. I'm 35 with wife, three kids, house, etc. and live in Lake Stevens. I work at Microsoft and saw an email from Nathan (DJ Nathan V on here) mentioning this place and thought I'd check it out. I rode dirtbikes a lot up until I was 17 and then didn't ride much at all until I got an '07 R6S in October of '07. I rode it up until September of '08, I think, when I sold it and bought my current bike, an '06 GSX-R 750. I've just got the bike put back together after highsiding it at the end of October. Evidently lack of throttle control plus antifreeze on the asphalt as I'm turning from one road onto another equals bad stuff happening.

Thanks to being an ATTGATT freak (see married with kids thing above), I didn't lose any skin at all and only fractured one bone in my pinkie after being "about 10 feet in the air" according to the witness that helped me pick my bike up. Now I'm all healed up and hating snow and sand on the roads. I hope to meet some more PNW Riders in the coming year and actually get to do at least a couple track days. My two attempts at a track day last year got rained out or canceled due to not having enough people signed up.

Welcome Jason! If all goes well you too could aspire to the level of greatness Whitefire has achieved.

Hi Richard M here in Gig Harbor, WA
I'm 36 married & have a four year old. Rode bikes all my life. Gave up on the fast ones after a crash in 1990. Oncoming car turned in front of me, then when he saw me he stopped. I hit his rear quarter panel. He then split. I got out of it without a hospital stay. Never did find him.

Current bikes that hold true with my slower lifestyle.
67 Trail 90
68 Trail 90 (Parts bike)
82 ATC 70 (My kids)
74 RL250
75 CB125S (willing to trade for a older enduro)

I love riding the backroads between Elbe, Morton and Packwood. I want to do some dirt riding on the orv trails near Randle one of these days.

Happy new year.

Now back to my lurking in the forums.

Thanks. I've already bought a set of track bodywork, pop-up canopy, etc. for track days. I'm actually planning to do a NESBA day first and then consider 2Fast and others.

No problem buddy, I WILL be at the others as well. I am just partial to 2-fast. Not to mention I am right up the road from you.

As close together as we live, maybe we can share rides/trailers down to Pacific sometime.

Hi, my name is Jon from the historic town of Snohomish

I found this forum surfing the web on one of the slow days that i did'nt work so there was something good that came out of it

there are a lot of nice roads to ride around here, and i was hoping to expand the horizons of local knowledge with the help of other riders and to meet others to hopefully challenge my skills (or lack thereof lol) and to just experience some of the personalities that i've read here

anyway...RIDE ON!!!

Hi,

I am new here. My name is Rob and I live in Kingston. I'm 40 and just married last May.

My wife was commuting on her Rebel from Kingston to Mountlake Terrace but we both currently commute in separate van pools. I work in Bothell.

She grumbles from time to time about selling or trading the bike up so I thought I better hurry up and get my license while the opportunity was there. I drove a moped for 2 years as a teen and in college I had a 500 Virago for a couple of years but rarely rode it and never managed to get my license.

I am currently signed up for and looking forward to a MSF class the weekend of Jan 30. I've been gathering up a helmet and cold weather gear while I wait.

I hope I can eventually drop the van pool and ride the bike to work.

Rob

I Ride: Rain, sleet, but no snow: '08 GSX650F
Hi all,

My name is Rob and I'm 41: with wife of 16 years, one son (14) and one daughter (9). I've been riding since I was 13 and new to this board.

I tore up dirt during my teens in Whatcom County. During my late teens I chose the GS1100SX as my poison and at that time the LEO's and judges knew me by first name. After the kids were born I sold my gear and rides for the "easy" life...but last year I was called back to the road: and glad to be back.

Due to my previous LEO encounters, I chose to take it practical this time around with a simple '08 GSX650F (aka Bandit). I hope to see you all around the region.

Rob

We have a large area and people come from all over so the bikenights change location each week not only to find new and cool places but so we end up in everyones neighborhood on and off. There is also the Cederwood which is down south in Fife the same time each week.
Welcome all, see ya out there!

HI everybody I'm Tom and live in Kitsap county.
Probably met some of you at PSSR or TooFast trackdays. I was the old cat wobbling around on the bike pictured in avatar.
I dont remember names but do remember bikes
Been riding, racing and crashing since 1972 with a few years off to raise family.
Got back into bikes 4 years ago after becoming a widower with a 16 yr. old to raise. 1st acouple of KDX's then a Ninja 250 for commuting.
Traded the 250 in for the 1400 and started to relearn my bliss.
SPEED!!! Sideways preferably
Nice to find this site. Used to hang at Bikeland but sooo done with that.
Look forward to meeting many of you in the upcoming year. So we can get to know each other and trade insults, attaboys, support and help.

Until then, Old Guy
