2009 PNW Riders Bike Of The Month - Open to the PNW Riders community!

Open to the PNW Riders community - no matter what kind of motorcycle you ride, all motorcycles are welcome to enter into this contest.

For the 2009 BOTM Contest, thread must be posted in Member's Rides during the 2009 calendar year - to make sure you still have/ride the bike you are posting.


Bike Of The Month Entry Guidelines

To Qualify for BOTM:
For each motorcycle you wish to enter, create 1 new thread in the Member’s Rides forum. If you own 3 motorcycles, then post up 3 new threads. Your thread title must include the year, make, and model of your motorcycle. Your thread must include a minimum of 3 pictures of your motorcycle. Do not add your motorcycle to other people's threads or you will not be eligible. Your thread must be posted/started/created during the 2009 calendar year. Threads will continue to be good for the calendar year.

To Win the BOTM:
A winner will be chosen at random. Make sure your entry meets the BOTM qualifications.




Bike Of The Year Entry Guidelines

To Qualify for BOTY:
Your motorcycle must be a BOTM winner and must still be a valid entry, meaning your three pictures within your thread must still be active. If your pictures are not active, you will not be eligible for BOTY.

To Win BOTY:
A public poll will be posted, and the PNW Riders community will be able to view the BOTM winning threads and vote on their choice. The BOTM that receives the most votes from the PNW Riders community will win BOTY.




Along the way, I’ll try to throw out some PNW Riders swag to the BOTM and BOTY winners, plus I’ll come up with some other creative things as the contest progresses.

When is the deadline date of the month to post the thread? what time of the month will the winners be released?

this sometimes turns into a popularity contest and is more about who's bike it is than the bikes actual qualifications.

Who are/is the judge or judges.

What are the qualifications they will be judging.. by what THEY like or by what a bike may actually have on or done to it?

When is the deadline to post a pic for a certain month?

Whats the catagories or sub divisions if any or is it just a bike is a bike, dirt, street, super moto or super motard...

Lots of variables here... just asking the questions others only think of

The idea of Member's Ride is to show off your motorcycle. It's to post up some pics and a few words about your bike so others in the community can see. Thats what its always been for, and when I list the BOTM winner, I'll just reference a link to their thread in Member's Rides. So there will be one page (I'll post up a link later in the Header) which I'll update and add all the BOTM and their threads to.

No judges - like the first post says - it's random meaning I use a random number generator to pick BOTM. It works great, takes about 10 seconds and we get a winner.

And there is no deadline, its whenever I pick it sometime that month. It's one thread per motorcycle, so you only need to submit one time for each bike and leave it sit and maybe you get selected, maybe not.

Any existing thread already in there will also be eligible if it meets the criteria listed above.

This has nothing to do with being the best bike, best type of bike, no popularity, none of that. Not for BOTM.

BOTY - that's up to the community since you all are the judges.

www.upitall.com Just click on "View or upload" then click on "browse" to find the picture you want and then click on "upload." Once it processes simply cut and paste the image URL tags into your post.

Going to make a slight rule change - because I'm finding too many bikes that were posted up a long time ago and the rider is no longer riding the bike they posted up maybe 2-3 years ago...

New rule is you need to post up the thread sometime during this calendar year. So the 2009 BOTM's will be selected from new threads created in the 2009 calendar year. I will update the first post of this thread.

Also - make sure you have 3 pictures of your bike. I saw one thread with 2 pictures, but to be eligible for BOTM you need a minimum of 3 pictures.
