Discussion in 'Vancouver' started by Mrmat25, Apr 5, 2012.

  1. Anyone up for a ride on Sat, Sun, or both? I am open to ideas or I can throw something together.

  2. Supposed to be nice sat, thought about leading a ride to Johnston ridge via back roads

  3. May be down for Saturday, depending on time and destination.

  4. i was thinking about it, but im gonna be at Hood View checking out the dyno day(s). My bike is only getting about 90 miles to the tank anyways. i desperately need a new tune.

  5. Tell me more about the dyno days?

I think all the slots are full now....you could go watch.

Nels will be at Hoodview tuning bikes on his dyno.

  7. Dang, would love to see if "Black Betty" could break his dyno.

  8. Is Johnston Ridge open? I figured it would be under snow still

  9. I'm sure it is. Friends of mine had snow today and they live up near Lucia Falls, which isn't nearly that high up.

  10. TeeDub dont listen to people who spout about things they dont know about and have nothing to do with!

Nels from 2 Wheel Dyno Works is coming down for the weekend with his mobile dyno Friday through Sunday to tune bike at Hoodview performance. If you need something done I am sure Nels will find time to work you in if you give him a call. Or if nothing else you can just swing by to check it out.

  11. Yeah Jason, I already fired an email off to Nels and he can get me in for a dyno pull no problem. He told me to call him tomorrow.

  12. Would love to get out this weekend, but will have family in due to 'Bunny Day'.

  13. Saturday ride. Meet up at the Tuesday night SBUX around 11:30 with KSU at 12:00

We can see what people feel like. Some options:

    - Cougar run
    - Washougal River Road, head up 14 cross over into Oregon, run back on the historic highway to the vista house, then folks can peel off or maybe do Bull Run too.
    - I was also thinking maybe going up Germantown, out Skyline, then dropping down through Forest Grove and running up to Haag Lake. I have not been to Haag Lake yet.

    Thoughts?

  14. Kool that gives me time to go to Cars and Coffee at Cascade Station in the morning. If you all are interested it starts at 8:00.

  15. Be super careful if you head to Hagg Lake there are some really really rough spots. Counter clockwise is the best way to travel around Hagg.

  16. Matt you should get with Devon and go to Johnson ridge

Careful guys! Everything is frozen out here in Amboy, and I mean everything.

  18. Well the ride was good till my wife picked up something in her tire and got a flat. Luckily Tuna11 (Patrick) saw it before we pulled out of the gas station by Scapoose (we were running to the coast). Threw a can of fix-a-flat in the tire and that got the bike back to Hoodview where new tires await.

Since we still have her old bike we put it back and went for a ride and ended up at Nick's and got some yummy onion rings. Well off to bike night.

  19. I guess this ride was not meant to be about 7 mi outside of Vernonia,on the Scappoose Vernonia Hwy Mikes bike rear wheel bearing seized up on him had to call TMMR.
