New Bike Dealer
Many if not most know we are getting a new motorcycle dealer in Gorst.

Triumph is opening at the Suzuki auto dealer. When returning from Portland today I noticed the sign for the first time. Northbound it reads Triumph Motorcylces. . . hum,if they cannot spell them can they sell them?

Upon further investigation at the Triumph USA site I find:

Peninsula Triumph
Address:
350 SW State Highway 16
Port Orchard
WA
98367
Tel: 360-479-4320
Fax: 360-377-3617

I am sure local Triumph riders would welcome a good service department
Cool

I always liked Turnips.
Gotta have some brass to open a shop at the end of the season though.
But then, it may well be owned by the Car dealer. They may well have the dollars to sustain it till spring.
Be interesting...

Coolness.....but......

Bob, Vena and the crew at Tacoma Triumph are so very fabulous I would have a hard time taking my business elsewhere. Also, Howard at Champion Cycle in Bellingham, where I bough my bike, has to be one of the best in the business and worth a trip north......

Hmmmmm. We'll see....

wow,

only a year and a half too late (I actually was looking for a triumph a few years ago)

I wish them well,
maybe they will have a good used bike program (people trading in on cars)

I welcome another dealership and hope there is enough business on the non-rider peninsula to keep them open.

So I took a short ride down to the new triumph dealership. The guy I talked to, i think his name was David Fritcher, new as much about motorcycles as my wife. He said he was a used car salesman prior to the triumph dealership opening. It was quite annoying when I started to ask him questions about the Speed triples. The only thing I got out of this visit was that apparently my bike is worth $3000 on trade in.

tough time to start, with the time of year, and the shiatey economy.
I wish them well. I get the idea that the two guys working there have no idea what they are in for. Car guys dont normally do well with Mc's unless they are riders as well. The car production sales venue model doesnt work well with riders. "whats it gonna take for you to ride this baby home TODAY!?" um nope. We shall see as it develops.

I did like that flat green scrambler tho. If the Buell ever goes away, THAT is its replacement. Just gotta figure out how toget my bags on there with that exhuast.

I stopped in Monday,
the bikes were sitting outside.

I climbed on most of them.
no salesmen came out even to say hi (which is ok, I was just looking anyways)

I love the idea of a motorcycle shop being open mondays
(especially since most motorcycle sales people aren't out riding anyways)

Sooooooo....You're going to be working there? Sales or on the service side?

I hope to be able to show up for the Monday thing. Depends upon how work goes.

Moto Shop open on MONDAY ! somebody alert the media. Still closed Sunday for family day? (I always did alot of business on Sunday)
See yall there. If it rains I will be on the 03. If not, then the 05, and the Buell is still down, and on the other side of the state. (that Scrambler is becoming more appealing)

It is the bike that speaks to me in their line up. I got to demo on at Sport Bike NW two years ago. They even let me play in the field with it a bit.
About as awkward and cumbersome as the Buell is off road..... perfect.

see ya'll around 430 ish, I will have to get the rain gear back out, and fend through that stupid traffic that always seems to bottleneck in the 300-445 time frame. Merge people its just like a damn zipper! Merge you lemmings Merge.

I feel better.
