So my bike has shit the bed, water in the gas tank is no bueno. So i'm gonna just stop trying to fuss with it and let the mechanics deal with it. I just need a helpful hand to get the bike over so they could look at it today, depending how quick i can get it over there. I live right off of kitsap way and 13th, close to the NAPA. |

It's a bit more than regular stabil, but worth it. ETHANOL SUCKS! good luck with getting your bike over there. why not just drain it yourself? |

I didn't want to drain my tank since the fuel was garbage.....cuz gas ain't cheap these days! I buckled down, drained the tank, got some clean fuel, dropped some Seafoam into the injectors and tank, and after some wishing and praying, she finally started up. Now I just need to figure out how to get my front brakes bled after installing the steel braided brake lines i got. Apparently I possibly got air in the Master cylinder (according to Cliffs). I know how to bleed my brakes, but the fronts just keep sucking air in and out vice the brake fluid. Easy fix I hope... |

Tonight, get a zip tie, and zip tie your front brake lever back against the throttle (like you were pulling the front brake). let it sit on there over night. i've heard of this working before. | |

I didn't take the cap off to allow the flow of the fluid, so after a few mins of bleeding, it's braking like a champ......however, to pour a little salt in the wound, after getting the bike running again and the brakes bled correctly, I had put a block under the kickstand to level the bike out (since i don't own a stand). After bleeding the left front brake which i was kneeling to do so, I lost my balance into the bike.....and knocked the damn thing over, breaking off the right mirror and scratching up the fairings on the right side and a few cracks in the mid and lower fairing....sigh. Thankfully I won a good amount of cash at the casino playing poker, so I just need to order new ones and take it to the guy I got the custom paint job from. Hopefully that won't cost too much. You win some, you lose some....at least she runs.... |
