I Did It
Everyone says it will never happen to them, well im getting on the soap box to say bull! left work, bike was warmed up, but my tires were cold and have less then 300 miles on them. wasnt even going fast. just took the corner a little to steep for what my tires could handle and as i started to accell the tire kicked out and wobbled the bike, i high sided the bike and myself. i feel like a idiot. i broke my stator cover, clip on, rear faring, foot peg, windshield, and my pride. Im typeing this with one hand cause i think i messed up the other, theres a bruse the size of a foot ball on my leg/thigh and i cant stop playing it over in my head. I know im lucky that it wasnt a bad crash and that no cars were involved but im still really shook up.

Rode the bike home, ordering parts now.

I know people are going to make a bunch of replys that im a idiot and i had it coming to me, but i just wanted to let everyone know
IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE, ANYTIME

Watched the whole thing, not sure if it shook up him or me more. I really don't ever want to see anyone go down on a bike again, must of slid 20 feet on his back, after flying off the bike, goes to show how important the right gear is. He was wearing a helmet, riding jacket, pants and gloves. God was looking out for him, the truck behind him could have ran him over. The bike can be fixed, sometimes we can't, we all need to learn our limits, just not this way! Ride safe everyone the cold dark weather is here.

Glad to hear you're okay.
Good thing Ken was with you. He is a doctor for his second job; BS artist for the first job, but they go hand in hand, lol.
Just kidding.

Well, now that you have that out of the way, you should have a little more respect for the bike now. That and you can now go on riding and learning from your mistakes.
Better get that thing fixed, Wednesday is coming up fast!
If you need help, let us know.

I am glad you are ok and I don't think anyone would give you a lot of crap for this accident. If you were being stupid and stunting or just really taking it to the limits then yeh people would give you crap, but this was just one of those things. This time of year especially is when the roads are just out to get ya. Heal up my friend, at least you will have time to put the bike together and yourself

Who has ever said that? I'm still waiting for my time to come, I'm sure it will make me a better, more aware rider. Glad you didn't get too hurt, also a good thing that someone was following you. I would hate to go down and have to wait for help to show up.. Get well soon!

As for the Doctor job, I was just glad he got up, thought I might have to shoot him like a injured hourse. And the other job, just because I was telling everyone about all the YAMAHA gear you bought at the bike shop doesn't make it gossip . He's doing okay today, just moving slow around work, oh thats not different . It's all good, just makes you respect the bike alot more! Thank God he's just bruised up and the bike ins on the way to recovory also.

I prescribe, lots of rest and lots of time on E-Bay. Recomend warm tires fully before twisting right wrist more than 1/4 turn, and a bubble suit for those times you do every thing right but something still goes wrong.

I Ride: with a license to thrill!!
I feel your pain man, but in my case I wasn't even on my bike! I was bleeding the left front brakes and don't own a stand, so i got a block of wood under the kickstand to keep it level.....as i was kneeling to open the bleed valve and still be able to hold the brake, I lose my balance into the bike just enough to topple it over on it's right side scratching up the right fairings and put a couple cracks in it and broke the right mirror off....glad you're ok though! Just hang in there homie!
