Looking ahed at the weather though - Possible 50 Flippin' degrees on Friday!!
Look for an OLD Duck with an even OLDER rider!!

I had a group ride 4 months back into riding (in 2010) with Ed, Brian and crew that was 320 miles - garage to garage that almost killed me!! Granted, I do now have NEW callouses in places where they really should NOT belong - I'll keep this ride in mind!!
Did you see the HAUL the Fat Smitties pulled off the walls?? WooHoo for them!!

I have to be in Olympia on Wednesday, but Thursday afternoon is wide open and is slated to have that mythical "5" on the thermometer.

Luigi is definitely coming out of his nest for the morning commute, which puts me 30 miles closer to the snaggle toothed rock than I am now.

Now, do I deliver the tag to Pete or David?

Then again - these are the same forecasters that blew it a few weeks ago!!

You have clearance to go and get it. While I was draining the oil today I heard the tell tale hiss of escaping air. Sure enough, I found a shard of glass in the rear tire, so until I can replace the tire (after only 3-3.5K

) I am fairly well dry docked.

When did you sneak over here and drive that splinter into my tire???

If the tread is still good could you not just have a tube put in it?

If it was the H-D I would, and have, gone that way. The type of tire I run (Pilot road 2's) and the way I push them fairly well rules that out as a wise course of action. There are heat issues involved here, especially for the inner tube.

Although the Admiral might enjoy the life insurance check, I don't want somebody to have to backtrack on the 112 looking for the hole in the brush I made when the tube decided to let go. It takes the edge off of an otherwise fun day.

As soon as my new tire is in I will be taking a trip to Seattle to get it installed. It's out of the way, but Micha at Moto International does me good, and it gives me the chance to do a couple of laps on the footpath at Green Lake.
