crash on south sixth
A motorcyclist from Malin was seriously injured in a traffic crash near the intersection of South Sixth Street and Highway 140 Friday.

Dwight Gobble, 41, of Malin, was operating a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle going south on South Sixth Street when a pickup driven by Eric Stowers, 26, of Klamath Falls turned from a parking lot to head north on South Sixth Street, according to Oregon State Police.

The pickup turned into the path of the motorcycle, which crashed into the pickup bed's left side. Gobble was transported by ambulance to Sky Lakes Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

Stowers, who was not injured, was cited for driving while suspended and reckless driving. OSP troopers were assisted at the scene by Klamath County Sheriff's deputies and Klamath County Fire District No. 1.
