Yeah that's got a bit of power for a beginner bike, but take it slow and easy and hopefully you'll do just fine. I would recommend trying to make it for some of our group rides. That would give you valuable time to watch some more experienced riders, talk about techniques, and have them possible follow you for a bit, so they can tell you what you appear to be doing right, and possibly point out any potential bad habits you may be developing early in your riding life. Main thing is ride your own ride at a pace that is comfortable for you. Don't push yourself too hard to fast, and don't worry about riding slower than someone else or holding up a group, they can and will normally wait for you to catch up (if not they aren't worth riding with anyways). |

I work nights but get 3-4 day weekends so if anyone is interested in helpin a newb feel free. I really haven't gotten to just get used to the bike more than rumbling around my front yard. Too many cops in mills to try anythin else. |
