Concealed Carry Permit Class
I am going to be hosting a concealed carry weapon class in the Tacoma area in April. Thought I would post up to the PNW riders community and offer a discount to the members to see if there is any interest. Normally this course is $85, but I am offering it to member of PNW riders for $60. PM me or call for more details.

The Basic Concealed Carry Permit Class is an intense five hour comprehensive review of handgun safety and Concealed Carry Law. This class is designed for all levels of shooters (Beginners or individuals who have never shot before should talk with us about supplemental live fire training).

The class includes discussion on the laws for concealed carry and the use of deadly force. This class stresses the responsibilities of the concealed carry permit holder, pistol technique and different methods of carrying. Because the class is for shooters who are comfortable with their shooting ability, it does NOT include live fire. New shooters are welcome to attend but are encouraged to seek live fire training and/or practice with an instructor or experienced family member.

Completion of this class will give the student a completion certificate required by most states when applying for a permit. (While the State of Washington does not require training for a concealed carry permit, it is important to know the rules. responsibilities and proper technique associated with carrying a firearm).

Attendance of this course will provide you with the training and experience required for the Florida nonresident permit. The Florida nonresident concealed carry permit allows you to carry in up to 38 states.

The class is taught by former military and current NRA certified instructors (the only nationally recognized firearm instructor certifying organization).

Classes are filling quickly. Contact us today.

Can you give dates and hours the classes are taught? Weekends, weekdays, mornings, afternoons, evenings?

Thanks and much appreciated.

I see that the Florida Permit does not work in Oregon. Do you offer a class that does?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see that Oregon has no reciprocity with any other state, and you must apply there separately.

Yes, the certificate for the class will show you meet the guidelines for applying for a permit under ORS 166.291(f)

(C) Completion of any firearms safety or training course or class available
to the general public offered by law enforcement, community college, or private
or public institution or organization or firearms training school utilizing
instructors certified by the National Rifle Association or a law enforcement
agency if handgun safety was a component of the course;

Opps! I might have crossed a line with this thread. My apologies if I violated the TOS. I wasn't thinking of this as a commercial post (IE Spam). Just a way to get to know my fellow riders. Mods I throw myself at your feet and beg for forgiveness if you need to remove.

It's just an infraction dude, it won't kill you. You might think about talking to the mods over at PNWGuns about getting this posted over there.

Thanks, given recent events I look at it that way as well. Some people think just because you met the letter of the stand your ground law you automatically stay out of court/jail. That just isn't true.

Class is full up at this time. I'll do another in May if anyone is interested. Just PM me your interest. I am assuming the mods are ok with this posting as I never got a warning or anything.

It tends to be self moderating. Just post 'er up. If someone gets their panties in a twist, they can pull it.

Wow, a "less" drama filled sportbike site. Will wonders never cease.

P.S. I said "less"-drama not "drama-less". Otherwise it would lead to Fire and brimstone coming down from the sky! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes! The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria! And a forty foot tall walking marshmallow.

Lets not have that shall we.

I need to cancel this class at this time. I've had a loss in the family and I need to deal with that.

Given recent events I think it's time to try this again.

I posted up in the Marketplace for a June 30th class. Hope you all can make it. Seems like Seattle is turning into a war zone.
