There's another trick that's slightly less-messy and definitely less dangerous for the bearings - just leave the sparkplugs out and don't tighten the oil-filter very much. Fill with oil, then back off the filter til the o-ringjust barely loses contact with the sealing surface and crank the motor over with the starter til it pukes oil around the filter, then tighten the filter, re-install plugs, and away we go.
