I Ride: 2004 supercharged ZX10r, 2006 Rocket 3
Supercharger kit now available for 04-05 zx10r.
Just stepped up and decided to have my 04 10r outfitted with a blower. Because, you know, it's so slow. Yeah right.

is now taking a couple of preorders at a pretty substantial discount price.

220 hp. Smooth linear power, not a turbo's exponential boost.

Hides under stock fairings. Very high quality and machining.

My typically modded gen 1 can still run with the new crop of big dogs('cept that damn beemer), but just imagine this sucker spooled up.

Step up boys. you can't even get a generic turbo kit at this price.

There are many roads to horsepower. All of them go through the bottom end of the motor...
200 to 220ish hp would be about the same as an AMA superbike or WSB would it not?
I would think some suspension, brake and frame work would be in order.
I have some experience with blowers. Centrifugal blowers are not known for their efficiency at higher boost levels much like Roots type blowers are not. Then you need to cool the charge or otherwise deal with charge density issues.
A blown motor is certainly more streetable than a turbo'd one though. This one has a self contained oiling system. Thet in and of itself would cause me concern.

93 is around. There is a 94 octane pump by 512 and pacific ave in tacoma.

Wow around $4k that's pretty good profit on top of the parts cost! Good for them. I'm sure the R&D wasn't free.

8psi does seem high for pump. I would be most worried about detonation, not breaking the internals.

The guy that R&D'd them is a member on VFRD.com. I'm pretty sure he did it on his own time, in his own shop, and with his own resources when he did the original system for his 5th gen VFR. He started a thread when he started the project, it is an interesting read and worth checking out.

Most all the modern roots / twin screw / or hybrid there-of use a self contained oil system. (kb, eaton, vortech, bds, etc...) It's no longer an issue like it was just a decade ago.
Have no fear.
(as long as you r2 the oil on time)

Dettonation shouldn't be an issue with the excelent head design of a modern bike, as long as you dont get greedy on the ignition curve and dont run shit gas.


But seriously, does a modern literbike really neeeedddd more power???


I mean you could make it ALOTT faster just by doing a summer worth of track time and actually learning how to ride it.


For the price of the kit, you could buy a whole nother track bike...

Don't. Thats why I ride an 04 ZX10.

My pretty GPR rotary damper goes to 10.

Not really, I don't do a whole lot of riding around wide open now, can't see stressing the bike exponentially more on the street.


This one has a self contained oiling system.

It's actually a viscosity changing traction fluid.

8 psi is pretty standard for a pump gas street boost motor. Also, it only makes 8psi peak, I don't plan on holding it wide open for long periods of time.

As a blower is linearly tied to rpm, the fuelling is also thusly tied. Mapping is a simple matter of dynoing with a wideband. X more air at X rpm needs X more fuel. Nothing else changes.
