more power out of my 636?
05 636 i have k&n micron slip on and a power comander, jumper mod. and dyno tuned to 113 rhp [from nels] just wondering what else can i do to get a few hp out of it then maybe have it retuned?
I was thinking maybe adding this?
http://www.pineboxonline.com/raceheader.html

Full exhaust, ECUunleashed (if/when it's available for your bike). Intake mods don't really gain any power for modern sportbikes, but doesn't hurt to get a performance filter - short of any gains, it's nice to have a filter you can recharge and reuse. Beyond that you're probably hitting a ceiling unless you start doing internals... but for that sort of expense you might as well just get a litre bike.

That dyno graph he posted? The majority of those gains are probably the difference in a professional map vs one he just downloaded off the net. That 12.5 HP gain is a bit much for a 600 with just a header swap and a tune. Take that with a grain of salt.

That said, that's about the only way to get another 2-3 HP easily without doing internals. And don't mod your airbox. It's tuned for your intake and your FI system. Just ask Nels about hacked up airboxes.....he'll tell you.

Does your slip-on delete the catalytic converter? A full system might help a little (1-2 HP), velocity stacks might help some, K&N air filter. 113 is pretty good for a 600, granted yours is a 636, so that pushes it to the high end. Without getting into timing/ignition advance and running race gas, there's not a whole lot you can do without some serious internal stuff.

Stickers. Each one is a couple HP at least. Put 5-6 on and you'll be golden

That's actually some really good power out of a 600, I think you should really be happy. Is there any particular reason why you're still looking for more, or are you just doing it for the hell of it? That's enough for almost any local track (unless you're drag racing) and more than enough for the street.

Gotcha. Nothing wrong with that, we all tend to want more power than we can ever use. I think the main issue is that you can't really get much more out of it before tearing apart the engine and spending some $$$.

The headers will help some. That's a good price for a "ghetto" full system. I'd start there and with the air filters
