| Shredder   Joined: Jul 2009 From: Anywhere I can get to on my bike I Ride: 2000 GSX-R 750 | Wrench Help/Tire Stand Ok, I blew a tire. I found a new one, and someone who is willing to mount/balance it if I can take my old tire to them. That's great for me. Does anyone in the Everett/Lynnwood/MLT area have the tools, experience, and time to help me remove the rear tire from my bike, and then put it back on when it's changed out? Does anyone have a stand I can borrow long enough to change my tire out? If you're willing to help, send me a PM and let me know. Let me know what it'll cost for some one to show some "good samaritan-ship" Thanks |

   Joined: Feb 2008 From: Mill Creek, Wa I Ride: slower than you with a bigger grin! | i can help with everything except the rear stand. i'm in mill creek if you want some help. I have a floor jack that *might* work to support your bike while you take the rear tire off. |

Just for a little while. I'm signing up for a track day in august, and I'll put a new store bought set of matched tires on my bike then. But for now, I'm just trying to change the blown tire so i can still ride while i'm getting my car fixed.

I don't know if it's the right size for your bike or not, but you shouldn't need it if you're doing the rear tire anyways. according to the specs, the rear axel nut is 32mm or 1 1/4 in socket. | |

Apexhack came and removed the tire, took me to get a new one, and then put the new one back on. Ebesel took off the tire, remounted the new tire, balanced the new tire, and send me on my way. My bike is running well. I'm really grateful for all your guys help. Also I want to thank AndyCapp and Grantizzle for being willing to help me out even though other arrangments came through. Thanks for volunteering guys. Thanks to everyone who helped me and was willing to help me. I appreciate all of it. Dizzy |
