DragRacer and ZXWUT showed me some basics at the maintence day. And were planning on showing/teaching me more at the next one. I'd ask you to come show/teach me now, so I could maybe actually get my bike running and stuff.......... but.......... you're like 37402983740923 miles away. And that's a long ass way to push my bike since it won't start! |

The shop won't give me a new battery, even though they sold me this one a month ago (the week before father's day is when I got this battery). Even though the battery drained to 1.6v yesterday, and wouldn't hold a charge when trying to start the bike. Even though the battery is warrantied. Nope........ they hooked it up to thier industrial battery-thing-a-ma-bobber, and said that the battery had 12.6v on it. (which it probably did since it was on a battery tender all damn night) and then he started hitting a bunch of switches and said that when he puts a "load" on the battery it drops to 10.8v but when he takes the "load" off the battery it rebounds like it's supposed to back up to 12+ volts. So the battery is "good." They won't give me a replacement battery. So they charged it for the last hour or two. I'm about to go pick it up. Wish me luck. |

The bike should run for a bit just on your battery. I would also have a closer look at your main start relay (7) Also fault finding with multiple issues is tough. Get your valve clearances done and carb clean, if they are known issues. Also this may help...... http://www.rscycles.com/images/PDF/p...yzfr6_2000.pdf |

| Shredder Joined: Jul 2009 From: Anywhere I can get to on my bike I Ride: 2000 GSX-R 750 | THE BIKE STARTED!!!! WOO FUCKING HOO!!!! started. had to keep the throttle pinned for about 5 minutes, and it stayed at 2k rpm. But then VRRRROOOOOMMMMMMM.......... the engine ROARED to life. Now the problem...... still have smoke coming out of my exhaust. Smells bad. A little sweet maybe?? (gave me a fucking headache smelling it.) Now that it will start, I'm gonna go to the shop and see if the R/R is good or bad. Then I need to find someone who is willing to show me how to do my valves/carbs......... right away! I want to try to get it working properly so I can enjoy the rest of the riding season. |

Each plunger should be captured by the rail, so if the rail's moving the plunger s/b also. Hmmmmmmmmmmm............how did it get so horribly flooded? Good question. |

| Shredder Joined: Jul 2009 From: Anywhere I can get to on my bike I Ride: 2000 GSX-R 750 | Will find out soon. I plan on doing the carbs/valves as soon as humanly possible. I want to do them myself, so that I can learn what I'm doing and not have to keep paying a shop to do it. That means.............. I NEED A TEACHER. LOL. I know DragRacer and ZXWUT out in Bremerton are willing to show me, and I'll be out at the maintence day next time they have one, but if anyone is in my area and has some garage space and wants to teach me how to do the carbs/valves on my bike I would really appreciate it. If you aren't in my area, but you have a day or two free, I'd be willing to ride to your area to work on the bike. Any takers on showing me how to do these things? |
