2002 r6. Fires up, soon as you give it gas dies, can hear something in engine.

So my buddy broke his bike and i'm trying to help him solve what exactly he broke so we can replace it.

So it started out, the engine got flooded, instead of letting it drain, he kept trying to start it. when it fired up, he heard something "break" and bounce around in engine, now the bike will die if you give it any gas at all, and you can hear something bouncing around.

Any ideas? broken injector?

That could be anything. FYI, that bike is not fuel injected. it has Keihin carbs on it.

he could start with a compression test.,or looking at plugs if that's too much,
but "you can hear something bouncing around " is usually going to be expensive.
