| Newbie Joined: Oct 2012 From: Renton, WA | I ran a hard Anodized rear sprocket from Sprocket Specialists on my 93 ZX11 Ninja... $160 & wore da beotch out in one summer. Going with a Ti 2 Sidewinder this time around. Just picked up a nice set of Techno Magnesium wheels for my bad boy, so any weight savings going with aluminum is nill for me @ this point.... |

Way to go. But let's not do that stupid shit again. K? |

The steel wore way better. It may have been heaver, but I couldn't tell the difference. However, my Wallet could! I run Steel and the OEM size chain on the street. They last longer. I change both sprockets and chain together. Last edited by james1300; 10-28-2012 at 02:19 PM.. |

Think we have added at least 6 more in the last 12 months. Jim, common, you were quick to bitch on this guy for bumping the thread and you were out of line...period. Now be a stand up guy and apologize as quickly as you jumped his ass. |

GO ICEHOLES!!! | Dirt bike = steel (I run a loose chain, and aluminum does not like that, ever see multiple teeth missing at the end of a ride? I have, its ugly) Street bike = steel ( I am a maintenance freak, but on the street? what difference does it make? go with the longer/stronger steel) Race bike = Aluminum (again, I tend to run my chains loose, but multiple race/track day inspections help also unsprung rotating mass is NOT your friend for acceleration) Aluminum will wear so yu gotta stay on top of it. |

Ya And yes. I AM a dick Ask anyone that knows me. ![]() ![]() ![]()
My issue was that his comment contributed nothing to this conversation. The original thread had its closure four years ago. And as to why I took a couple days to get back here to offer up my apology for hurting someone's feelers...I been a little busy with life. | |

Not what I would consider being a positive influence to either the site or member. If you admit your going to be a dick why be a moderator? Rule one of the site... Participate and have fun.
