I'm the only one in my campsite too, B-2, so I have plenty of space as well.

I just came back from camping at Rock Creek, up Hwy 138 last night. I think the highway is open now. The rain probably helped put out most of the fire. Weather is perfect today.

I just looked for the date. It's listed at the top of page 2 as Aug 14-16th. Is that still true? I work every other weekend, so I can't make that one. If I'm wrong on the date, let me know. I could make the next weekend. I might be down in Roseburg that next weekend anyway, looking for some good backroads. I drove the family down to South Umpqua Falls yesterday. From Canyonville to the Falls was a pretty nice road for a ride. Is it paved all the way to highway 138? I'd try that when I come back with the R1.

Sorry a109, but it's next weekend.

I just did a preliminary tasting on the beer. It's done, carbonated and ready to go. Have a wheat beer at an IPA around 6.5%. And 138 is open.

Take some good pictures, and tell about it on here afterwards so I'll know what I missed. Have fun and be safe.

Rock Creek is my family's regular camping desination. Close in, great swimming hole, and a few little trails. Which spot did you have?

Are you guys camping at Lake of the Woods or Diamond Lake?

I will be camping near Oakridge this weekend and plan to ride to Crater Lake so wondering where you guys will be.

I plan on taking NFD21 from Hills Creek Reservor to OR138. I believe that 21 is paved all the way to 138 but I may be wrong.

I'll be there Thursday night. If all goes well, might need a hand getting my bike out of the back of my truck!

We were in spot #13, right by the swimming hole with lots of space. We had 3 vehicles and 4 tents set up. Not many spots can handle all of us. I love that place. We've been going there for about 5 years to meet family for camping trips. I think the fire kept the traffic down last week, but didn't bother us at all.

Last shameless bump before we load up....

I hope many of you make your way up there!!! It appears that the ride of choice will be Crater Lake on Saturday because of the 138 situation. If we get ambitious we can continue down into Butte Falls and backtrack around....guess we'll see how many people show and what we want to do.

I'll check PM's one last time before I head out....see you up there !!!

Could be, but my coffee must have been strong enough that he didn't complain about it.

On another note, here's my pics for the weekend:

Had a great time. Lots of stories around the fire. I heard it might be a rotating location the next couple of times. I've got a few pics of the weekend. Forgive me if I switch some names around.

Refreshments were on tap all weekend. The wheat beer seemed to be the big hit, but the IPA was close on its tails.

Somewhere there is a group picture with the avatar dog. She had a good time too, lots of ball chasing. Looking forward to next year.

What a great bunch of guys! Quite good people, I must say. Y'all had some very nice machines, too. Was a pleasure to ride with you, but have some respect for National Parks, for God's sake!

It was a pleasure meeting Chris, Mike, Jacob and Brad. Chris, thanks for setting this up. Nathan, good to see you again-- thanks for treating my hangover with that gourmet Folgers.

John, thank you for your gift of brewing and the relentless troublemaking.

Looking forward to next year for sure.. Let's get to planning so the rest of these losers will have enough time to make it.

Yes it was Cascade but i am falsely accused. Jakobi was the one who said that. Although I found it quite hilarious and kept it going.

I don't even remember what that was in reference to...

I have pics but I'll post them tomorrow. Also, anyone who didn't come is a Nancy-pants Sissy... I'm looking at you Medford, Roseburg and Eugene. Seriously . You get next year to remedy this or I will taunt you a second time!

EDIT: And Bend...WTF guys, we move this from Lake of the Woods to Diamond Lake so it's easier for everyone to come and the majority of us were from Klamath. Are you going to let a bunch of washingtonians (<--it's lowercase on purpose ) show you up?
