Are we (and by WE I mean YOU, lol) open to moving the location closer for Roseburg and Bend (and maybe Eugene) folks. For instance, Diamond Lake is exactly 85-ish miles from Roseburg, Medford and KFalls. |

I called the oldest one to ask about having the gathering there. She was uneasy about it because of so many unknown people and all of her personal stuff and my other sisters stuff. But, I'd still try to go. If I can make it, I'll drive my toyota up from Roseburg with my bike in the back, and a couple of kegs of beer. I brew so it would be 5 gallon kegs. Could throw a few other things in too. |

| WMRRA Qualifier Joined: Jan 2008 From: Warrenton, Oregon I Ride: 2004 Yamaha R1 | I'm interested from up on the North Coast. I would have to trailer my R1 and camping gear down there. I lived in Roseburg from '88 to '92 and grew up in Redding, so I might know someone from either place. My family has a big camping reunion usually every August at Rock Creek between Roseburg and Diamond Lake. It would be funny if it was the same week. I'm not sure what week we're doing it this year. |

| Zone Head Joined: Jul 2008 From: Klamath Falls, OR I Ride: 07 CBR 600RR | Ok...I went and looked at the Forest Service Campground website: http://www.recreation.gov/camping/Di...ex=CampingSpot Looks like reservations are taken from June 13 through September 7. During the reservation season there are 145 campsites available for reservations, and 95 campsites available for first come, first serve. It appears to me that its all paved which will be awesome for our bikes. If this happens..I'm gonna trailer the bike up with my truck and fill the back with all my camping gear and such. Has anybody thought about some day rides? Crater Lake is obvious....but are there many twisties up there? 66 is pretty far to the south but still do able in a day obviously. Looks like this gaining monentum....my best month to do this right now is August. I'm going to Laguna Seca for the Moto GP and I'll be at the Gorge for the Sportbike Rally. Any other weekend though is pretty good...including two weeks from now. Who else is in ?!?!?!?! ![]() Last edited by 1 RED-RR; 06-13-2009 at 09:16 AM.. |
