I've been riding my 2008 SV650SA for 4 years, since I bought it in 2008, but haven't done any riding with others, but will likely start soon, now that I've found this forum.

I'm currently interested in modding my bike, it's fully stock atm, but I understand that my experience could be greatly enhanced by adjusting the TPS, shocks, etc. That's where I really need help, figuring out what works best for me, and what my options are for upgrading.

Are there currently any meetups in the area (GP preferably, but I don't mind going to MFR, it's about a 30-45 minute ride) for me to learn from more seasoned modders and riders?

I'm in GP and could probably help you out one of these days; assuming you're wanting to learn how to do it as opposed to having someone else do it for you.

Yea, I'm definitely interested in learning for myself, I'm just concerned about doing it on my own and causing damage to my bike or whatever I'm trying to install, so having someone more knowledgeable to walk me through the process (and hopefully possessing some of the common tools for modding, which I might not have) would be a great help.
