Is the garage open to anyone in the area? A buddy of mine told me about this site, and I figured I should join up. How long is it open for? I'm going for a ride sunday, haven't decided if its dirt or street yet, but I might want to swing by at some point if its okay.

It's open from around noon until whenever. Some days no one has anything to do on the bikes and it is just a good ol' BS session. Sometimes no one shows up and I take a nap in the recliner. It's the weekend I'm on call so I might get called in to work, very seldom happens though.

Oh and welcome to the forum!

From the sounds of it, I think me and a buddy will be doing a street ride on Saturday afternoon, and a dirt ride on Sunday. If the street ride materializes on Sat, anyone want to join? Rippn? I'll be riding the 919, and my buddy has a 06 1000 RR. As the saying goes 'Safer in Numbers!'

I need to change the oil on my CB and my XR, and I've still yet to find a good way to prop up the CB to get the rear tire off the ground. Having the exhaust run UNDER the bike makes putting it on the stand impossible.

We can throw it on my lift and hoist it up from the ceiling if needed.

If anyone braves the cold today, just pull up to the gate and honk. I plan on cleaning up in the garage and will have the door closed. I fully understand if you'd rather stay home all warm and cozy.

Rippn, nice to meet you man. I would have loved to stay to chat, but I was kind of in a hurry. I'm a teacher at the high school here, and I coach football as well, and I had to get back to help get ready for the game that night.

I ended up doing a dirt ride down at the dunes w/ a buddy of mine, which as it turns out wasn't a real good idea; I got sick. Part of the reason I can type this up, is because I'm home sick right now, and just woke up for a bit.

As the weather gets colder, I'll be more likely to do a garage day sometime, as its not going to be much fun to go riding. Is this a pretty regular thing?

About once a month. I'm on call every 4th week. Since I'm stuck by the phone and can't go anywhere fun, and don't get called in that often, I do the garage day on that weekend. Next one will be Nov. 8th.

No one showed last Sunday, but the weather was crap. I'm thinking about not officially scheduling them through winter, and just have folks let me know when they need to use the garage. Haven't decided yet. Suggestions welcome.
