Actual sighting I was fueling up my bike for a trip over the Cascades early in the morning at our local Chevron station. This hairy, bearded dude suddenly comes up & starts jawing about my bike. I was sure it was the Rippin himself but he was much thinner. After he spewed a bunch of info about TBM850 etc & a bunch of other old bikes from the past I knew it was the man himself. I pulled off my helmet & said "Rippin' you're talking to Saddletramp"! He laughed and we got caught up. He has lost a "third-grader" (his words) in weight. He looked great. He said he's been busy with some heavy-duty family issues but otherwise is doing fine. It was great to see an old friend again!  |

I had never met him until then. WOW. Great guy. We ended up going over and looking at his collection, and talking bikes for about an hour. Definately going to have to hit him up to go riding sometime. The guy is a blast to be around. |
