Hey jim, I got me a vtx1300 and I am riding my butt off! those harleys hurt my back,LOL I went on a 200 mile run to the cascade mountains and then south to an awesome lake and then 50 miles home no back pain! then I went on a 146 mile run to the ocean,man I LIKE IT! its an 03 retro with spokes they are still the same today! ttys,Walt

Traded in my '03 VTX 1800R on an '09 Ultra. My rear end isn't quite as happy, but the wife sure likes it lots better. I also find myself missing the power and torque the X had over the Ultra, but I am learning to adjust.

Hey everyone. My wife just found this site and this threadso I thought I'd post up. My name is Jason and my wife and I moved here 3 years ago from Covington. I was and always will be a hard core dirtbiker, however age and injury has forced me to say goodbye to my dirtbikes but hello to our new 2008 V Star 1300. We have had it a week and already have 500 miles on it, looking forward to mabey meating up with some people and going for a cruise. We don't ride to race anymore but really enjoy just hitting the road and getting out. I am making us out to be old timers or something, but I will be 37 in Sept, my wife is younger than me and we have 2 awesome kids 16 year old girl who wants a bike, and a 4 year old boy who thinks he's a bike. Any way, we don't smoke, but a cold beer now and then hit's the spot, and we arn't really into the tavern run thing. Just good riding and good friends.

Ya, Ive seen a couple of them dang old timers around..I distance myself from them, as there urge and reflex, ain't what it used to be... embarasingly, they ride old bikes sometimes too...

Damn close! My Dad has a horse farm up on 196th near Lake Morton. We moved here after my Mom passed and I like the warmer summers. My web feet finally went away.

My Grandmother lived on Lake Morton for many years. We lived with her for a bit back in the '60's (YIKES!)

My husband and I take the Morton exit off of I5, and take some of the back roads to Yelm where my son lives. There are some really nice roads out there. If anyone has any suggestions for good routes out there please let me know. We often go to Yelm for the week-end, and would love to take off for a day ride from there, but don't know the area well enough.

Any suggestions?
