I see that you write more about Corvallis and Albany, why not Portland or Salem?
It is Portland Examiner.

Oh, you live in that area. Happy writing.

This past weekend was the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in Seattle. I made it the four hours up there through the crappy weather to cover it. Although I was a little pressed for time when it came to talking to a lot of the people, I made sure to get a lot of pictures though. There is a slide show for this article and there will be at least one more, possibly two more slide shows in the near future. Feel free to pass the link on to your friends: Cycle World International Motorcycle Show

I ride a 1982 Yamaha Seca Turbo. It is my $200 "barn find"! I put about $300 into it to get it on the road, so for about $500, I had a fun and comfy bike to ride. It still needs some cosmetic stuff, and now it needs another new set of tires, but I love that bike. I put over 10,000 miles on it in the last year and a half and only left the state once. I may be planning a trip to Vegas this summer, we will see what the future holds!

Just keep riding!

Did you have your bike in your pick-up bed parked on the second floor of the parking garage? We parked right next to the truck. That bike also needed a few parts repalced, but what a cool bike. I didn't even know Yamaha made a Turbo Seca.

Shrek: I actually don't live in Portland, that is just where the nearest Examiner.com hub is. I would like to make it to events around there as much as I can this summer. Being a poor college student has it's financial limitations.

Ordrock: Actually, my bike sat at home neglected. I drove my wife's cage to the show, even though I really wish I could have taken the poor thing. There was a sweet Seca 900 at the show that the owner had grafted a 650 Turbo fairing onto. It really looked as though it had rolled off the showroom floor with it. That bike will be in a near future story as I got a few good pics of it. And the guy sounds like a good source for parts for my own bike....

Thank you for reading my articles!

Nice work on the articles, you have a growing talent!!!

Know the starving college student thing well, and a motorcycle was my only independence in school. Corvallis isn't very far, and we have many people down there. Along with many of us that travel far, write about bikes, get with the group. We've got a pretty good bunch of people on here!

Another FUN Motorcycle related thing to do is attend a OMRRA event!
Including a 'Taste of Racing'. For $5.00 you get to ride a 20 minute session on the race track. NOT at race speeds! This gives you the chance to ride the course and do something most riders only dream about>>>Would you come to an OMRRA race weekend...

Thank you guys all so much. I guess it is time to start filling out my 2010 calendar. You have given me so many great subjects for articles. Money permitting, I will make an effort to make it to as many as I can.

I have a new article. This one was kind of a bit of fun, a winter reminder of why we ride. It is obvious that riding in a cage has made me soft, as I am kind of a whiny ass at the beginning of the story. However, with a ride in the rain, that put me back in the right place. You can read it here:

You get paid to write these articles?

So far 2010 hasn’t been a very kind year for me so far. Yes, I know that it is only a few days into it, but I still feel as though I have been kicked around a bit. Although just before the New Year, I was knocked out with a horrible flu (not the piggy flu) and tried to cut my finger off. So I thought that it had to get better.
