I think zero. He does not have the same bike as the top people. He did look pretty good in the last race moving up to seventh without really knowing the bike. But the difference between 7th and 1st is huge, and that was with Stoner crashing out.
I hope he wins a couple.

If Colin Edwards can podium---then my logic says so can Spies---even in his first year, after his one miraculous WSBK year. I say 2 podiums, no wins, but alot of top 5 finishes--competition will be fierce with Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa full on factory boys. Second year, much better---if he can stay healthy, i.e., not bin it---he will be in the hunt. I have been rooting for Edwards for years in motogp, but I wonder about his motivation at times---I don't think that will be an issue for Spies---in fact I bet Spies will make Colin rider faster.

I thought we were talking about wins....
I think Spies will podium in his first year. mabye more than once.
One of the major players will have a bad day, and Spies will capitalize.
In general I think Spies will be racing edwards, simocelli and the best of the rest...
