I've been riding (on and off) for a long time (first legal street in 1986). No matter where you stop, there will always be a good chance you stepped in something. Dragging the foot/feet should help "rub" it off before you get it all over the pegs. Wears out the soles a bit faster, but better to do that then finding you have something slick all over them at the next stop.

I did about 10k on my 250 before jumping to an R1, can I be a noob? Pretty please?

its all opinion with what to spot and especially pet peeves because they are obviously yours. anyway im not the best but im not the worst when it comes to riding. i have never rode in a group before and would like to try it but from the sounds of it would almost be exiled because i havent. i dont speed like crazy i dont want to do wheelies and do adjust in corners sometimes too much lean/not enough sort of thing would that mean that im inexperienced? i dont brake in corners i use my engine to set/increase/decrease. My main thing is if you want more experienced riders you might have to exercise patients to show them what they should be doing not just expect them to know what to do.. or just give a few pointers. Although there is the type that wont take advise and put people at risk but i am one not to do so

Don't pay much attention to these assholes. They think they're better than everyone else. Just represent yourself truthfully when you show up to a group ride. Usually someone in my group will volunteer to tag along with newer riders when they speak up. If no one volunteers & the group goes warp speed on the ride...you're riding with the wrong group. We were all less experienced at one point & should be willing to help people with less experience than us. Whatever you do...don't ride over your abilities. It's easy to do in a group. If you're stressed out in the corners...you're riding too fast. If you're feeling pressured to ride faster, you're with the wrong group.
