| Chicken Strips ![]() Joined: Aug 2008 From: Seattle, Wa | The post was made on a facebook post I think, I've yet to see anything officially posted on the Wmrra forums. From the Wmrra Race director Jeff Wieand. "Working on the 2012 WMRRA season raceday schedules. Very full and mighty interesting. Superteams, motard, sidecars and endurance plus the normal madness. Oh yeah..MW GP Twins is back! looking like a great year." and "One round at the ridge will be motard w/o dirt & one maybe two at Pacific w/ some form of non-pavement. More info to come." Get those Tards ready!! |

| Race Qualifier | The only talk I've heard about it was during a general membership meeting and I saw a post on Facebook from the race director mentioning something about it. My question for wmrra and the sm folks......will wmrra allow them to race or do they need to obtain a wmrra license? Will a license you can just walk up and buy at a go kart track ticket window be good enough? |

| Race Qualifier | I wonder if they could come up with some off pavement routes? |

![]() ![]() | I hope this is true, but it won't be the first time WMRRA has run SM races. In 2001 they ran a "Supermotard" series at PR and Bremerton, but it was on shortened courses with some dirt. At PR, we ran inside and outside T9 on the pavement, gravel and grass. There is plenty of dirt to use at PR, when we ran the "Nasty Wench Hair Scramble" and "White Knuckle GP" we used most of the infield and dirt areas around the track, including dropping straight down the bank to T6! And I think SMs will be plenty fun and competitive running the full track at The Ridge, judging by this vid of my buddy Tyler schooling the sport bikes at the first track day in Dec: |

Motard racing that's not cheap, on tracks with huuuuuge straights just isn't interesting to me. I'm sure it'd be fun at ORP, but I can't think of another full-size track in the NW I'd run a 'tard at. The WMRRA rule book isn't available from the site, so I can't check, but is there a singles class they can run in anyway? | |

There have been some changes to number plates for novices, and a few other small things.... Like what the license fees are. |
