Witch jacket to get?? Alpinestars Indy, GPR or GP Plus perf
Hello all,

Having a hard time deciding between 1 of the three...I currently have 3 other leather jackets. A Dainese Zen i'll use for commuting. A RS Taichi GMX Motion for those hot spirited days. An Alpinestars GP Plus (Non perforated) for those cooler days. Most would probably find these 3 jackets enough...my only concern is that all three are all black. After nearly getting sideswiped by a car the other day, i'm thinking a more visible color would be appropriate.

All three of the jackets above are available in White or White/Black and all are perforated and will likely take the place of the GMX Motion which i'll sell or just keep in the closet.

The only difference I really see between any of them is that the Indy is a thinner leather and less flashy. The GP Plus and GP-R from what I can tell have all of the same specs but with slightly different design...I'm leaning towards the GP-R as I like the look a bit better but i'm not sure if it's really worth the extra $30 and I'm not a big fan of the snaps on the neck and the wrists...

Which one would you chose??

GP-R

GP Plus
http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com...l.bok?no=13994

Indy

Witch was on purpose...since you all like to hammer people on spelling.

I thought about that but I am more likely to just grab the white jacket and go rather than mess with putting on a high visibility vest over a jacket. I don't mind cleaning the jacket, I usually wipe down my jackets once a week and an extra few minutes on the white one with some Lexol isn't a hassle.

Yard sale makes a good point here. Its sounds like youre all set in the jacket department. Is there other gear this money might be better used for such as: boots, pants, back protector, etc.???

If you must have another jacket:

This is a lot more jacket for less money than the ones you've suggested.

Here's where i'm at with gear...

Helmets: Scorpion Exo 500, Bell Revolver
Boots: Cortech Latigo Air, TCX X-Cube
Gloves: AXO Kr8, Alpinestars SP2, Scorpion Blacktop
Pants: Shift Havoc, Icon jeans, Planning on picking up Alpinestars urban DNS or Dainese New Drake textiles when I buy the new jacket
Protection: CE back protectors in all jackets, Knox cross shorts, Forcefield limb tube knee/shin guards
Jacket not mentioned above: Scorpion Torque textile

I don't believe i'm missing anything at this time and also have some budget for better boots this spring. I would also likely sell the GMX Motion if I buy the new jacket (size 40 US if anyone is interested, prior design).

I can get the GPR for $364 and the other two for $339. No speed humps for me...

I went with a first gear high visibility vest. It fits over my jacket really well, and I can put it on and take it off as one unit.

When I first started riding, I wore gear that mached my bike, but I am older and wiser now, and would rather be visible than dead..even if it means wearing my neon yellow vest every time I ride.

I bought the A* Indy and had a zipper sewn in the bottom to attatch to my two piece leather bottoms. Works great and it saved me during a crash at the track. Still wear it today.

Everyone has their own taste. Here's mine.
INDY: NO.
GP-PLUS:MAYBE
GP-R: HELL YES. Honestly the GP-R looks, (imho), 30 dollars better than the Plus.

(Nothing else, I'll stick to your original post question between the three)

Thank you for sticking to the original post! I agree, i've spent quite a bit of time looking at all three in side x side comparisons and have settled on the GP-R. Definitely worth the extra $30 for looks alone.

Thanks for answering the question as stated. I guess there are a few people that can stay on topic.

I ended up going with the GP-R, it is way sexier than the other two and the black and white should stand out well...Got it for total of $386 shipped for jacket and insert...Couldn't pass up the amazing deal!
