Helmet question.
I was looking at getting the MaxVision pinlock shield/insert for my Arai RX-Q.

Was curious if anyone had a picture of what the shield looked like with a dark/smoke insert. Cant seem to find anything online, and no one seems to have the MaxVision stuff locally.

Also, any reviews of the 100% MaxVision pinlock system would be great.

Thanks!

Raven, I'd love to see it. I've got the irriduim shield on my Profile, thought about the pinlock, just don't want a huge clear section around it. I hate visor fog. Lol

Awesome, thanks Raven. If you don't mind, could you also tell us what you think about it? Especially in comparison to a normal pinlock if youve used them?

I have never used a pinlock system ever, it is the first helmet with that feature.

I Ride: only for myself.
I can do Shoei rf-1100 with the dark smoke pinlock as well. Great for the cold days, it really can't be beat. The clear area not covered by the pinlock is not very noticable at all.

Is it the new MaxVision pinlock?

I prefer clear visors and then wearing sunglasses underneath as required. That way I can just remove the glasses when it gets dark.

I also was curious of the difference between the Maxvision visor and Arai's own dual pane visor.

The dual pane looks a bit cleaner, but loses the ability to swap inserts.

I've been using it for about 8 months now and love it, though it doesn't do much to help with fogging issues. Dishsoap though helped...
