| Permit | morboid qiestion I lurk a lot on here, but one I havnt see yet We all have heard” you should dress for the accident, not the ride”. So, suppose U positively knew that sometime in the next couple of months U would have an accident on your motorbike what pieces of gear beyond the basics 5 would u go out and buy, or would U just mothball the bike? |

| Superbiker | Boots, jacket and pants with armor, full face helmet, armored gloves, back protector. On my Gixxer, skull cap, flip flops, shorts, and wife beater, I like to roll commando on that bad boy. Srsly, that is a morboid qiestion. Last edited by Fast Eddie 919; 06-09-2012 at 05:00 PM.. |

Do it now. It's a risky hobby or avocation you are participating in. It's your present life vs. a disabled or shortened life you might be weighting against more bling, power, or whatever you think you want more. The price of a life shouldn't be negotiable. Invest in a better helmet, better gloves, better boots, and better leather than you would LIKE to spend. Back and chest protectors and replacement armor if not top of the line. Racers don't go cheap, why should you? I'd get (have) a helmet with a modern release mechanism so EMTs could remove it without injuring or causing me further injury. And I'm thinking about a real neck protector. My 2-cents. |

Best advice given so far. Althought medical and life insurance wouldn't be a bad idea. PS also make out a will...AJ | |
