I was just trying to look up the race a the dome years ago. Low and behold there's Pete with a post (2-2-2010) on DRZ forum > http://www.drzforums.com/showthread....classic-DRZ-SM
I was at that race tuning for ESR racing. I was going to mention one of the pro riders but I couldn't remember his name. He was so fun to watch. He put that bike on it's side with his left knee in his ear at the end of the straight.
At least I think it was the same race? I don't recall the year I was there but the post said 2001 and that sounds about right.
The two Hayden boys were there a long with the name I forget. my 4 yr old boy saw them in the elevator and whispered "he's on TV". I was thinking "yep, the boy knows his racers".......wierd

Anyway that's a great vid, thanks for sharing.

P.S. I have pics but they're on paper and no matter how many time I put em on the screen, they wont stick inside the computer.

That was a fun race! I'm pretty sure Dan Stanley won, but Joe Kopp gave him a race at least one night. There were a bunch of guys from CA up here too, including Don Canet and Mark Cernicky of Cycle World mag.

I'm of the opinion that anybody that hasn't ridden a supermoto in anger, have no idea of what fun can be on 2 wheels. They are missing out on a HUGE chunk of the riding experience.
