If you're an idiot who owns a Prius, chances are you were an idiot before you had one too. Same thing goes for dudes who drive pickup trucks.

She had been waiting for them to park there and idle since she bought that Prius, just for the opportunity

Always remind Prius owners of the amount of pollution it takes to make their vehicle. From where each of the different parts come from that have to be shipped around the world, to the WTF are we going to do with the batteries in the end. Along with that, unless you can drive one in perfectly ideal conditions at all times, their mileage is less than epic. You can do better in any TDI car by far. It will also last longer, be more reliable, and will create less pollution in the long run.

Yes absolutely, except for the mileage part. How much experience do you have driving them?

Mine is rated 53/46, and I get 56-59 on every tank since I bought it. It kills the EPA ratings, not 'less than epic unless perfect conditions'

Not a Hybrid/Prius/eco fanboy AT ALL. There's alot of hate from both sides that is retarded though.

My brother's has 170k+ on the original battery and still gets 45+mpg. Pretty cool car from my experience.

Doesn't make much difference: I get ~13mpg highway loaded or empty.

And no, it's usually got a load.

This looks like another bitter, out of control, old bag. Can't call her a parking lot bully ... a parking lot bossy? How much carbon goes into the environment keeping her supplied with groceries? I don't see this as a Prius thing. This broad appears to be in love with the sound of her own voice.

Still, the fact she comes back after venting her spleen? To do what, get in his wife's face, while she is trying to talk on her phone? I think this would borderline on assault. Some mentally/emotionally unstable woman near those kids? I wouldn't want her as close to my kids (if I had any) as she got.

I'd say the Husband and Wife should be commended for their restraint with this old bag. All this over what? Idling their truck in a parking lot? It's a fucking parking lot!

I agree. But all of these will improve dramatically as hybrids and electric cars are produced in greater numbers. Even the folks that produced the infamous report in 2007 claiming that a Prius had a larger environmental impact than a Hummer agree.

It's a chicken-and-egg thing. The cars will become cleaner when more people buy them, but some people won't buy them until the cars become cleaner.
