First...I actually got that parts bike running!!!  I did some tinkering, parts swapping from my VF500f (see my project thread) to the parts bike, a little gas into the carbs, and vroom!! I know the engine runs now....next step is to clean out the carbs and run the engine till it warms up....then check compression and look for any oil leaks. I have all the receipts for the engine rebuild from the previous owner so I may have a good engine on stand bye for my Interceptor.Second....I got to go on a night ride on a Hayabusa tonight.....it was awesome! I have to get me one of them.....The turns were so smooth, all I had to do was clamp the tank with my legs and lean a bit and the bike flowed into turns. And OMG...the throttle. I was giggling 1st to 2nd to 3rd to 4th...never got past 4th but who cares!! It was a religious experience and I will be doing that again....in the daylight. That bike has always intimidated me, but I now know that todays bikes are nothing compared to what I am used to. The power was manageable as long as I was "good", but the devil came out to play a couple of times..... a flick to 1/8th throttle in 3rd and I was at 80 in about a second...wow!!
