VIN sticker removal

Ok, So I just thought I would ask.... (flame suit on)

Whats your thought on removing the VIN sticker from the frame?

VIN is also stamped into the steering tube.

Ask the local DMV or licensing office for the real answer.

I am aware of the stamp so I can "prove its mine"

I was just hoping others may have done the same or at least looked into.

Devil's Advocate: Because it's a big ugly white sticker glued to a beautiful black frame. Honda had it right back in the '80s - smaller black-painted foil sticker.

Honest advice: you need to ride the bike more and stop looking at it. Unless youre making a show quality bike, nobody cares about the vin tag.

Oh I ride believe me, and I see most points, my thought is I have spent about $2000 to make it look better and its kinda like a tag on our clothes.

I like looking perfect lol

Even if it's stamped on, I believe it's a crime to remove the sticker. Like tampering with the VIN on a car. But I could be wrong. Covering it up with tape or whatnot is as far as I would ever take it.

If it was a penalty of the law it would say so just like the tags on a matress
